Three year vet about to become a newbie

Well the decision has been made, and I go to see Dr Hagen on Monday to sign my consent and get the next available date to revise my sleeve to a Bypass, reline my esophagus with some of my intestine, tack what's left of my stomach to the under side of my diaphragm and repair my hiatus hernia. The plan is to book it so they can attempt the procedure laproscopically with my complete understanding that it may have to be an open procedure. Dr. Hagen is worried that my stomach may slip up into my chest cavity and not be able to slip back down (incarcerate), if this happens the repair becomes an emergency and it will have to be open. . .

I promise not to whine about optifast if I have to do it again, nor will I ask questions about supplements at nauseum. . .I will scroll back at least 24 H. . .OH and I know about iron!!!

I was just thinking about you today and wondering how things were progressing for you. I am sure you will be glad to get things fixed. Kind of weird - a non overweight person having gastric bypass. You are unique in the best sense of the word.

Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
