Cepacol Sugar Free Lemon Lime Throat Lozenges would do the trick. They taste pretty good too.

I really like the Fisherman's Friend SF apple cinnamon lozenges. I find halls leaves a film on my teeth that I don't like.

Had my first bad experince since surgery 5 weeks ago after having Halls no sugar added. My stomach was so upset

another SF option - ICE CHIPS!!  I found that it took about 3-4 weeks for it to go away and yes it was from the surgery and not sickness.
