what a thought provoking and wonderfully sensitive question.
As a long time lurker, *****ally enjoys the forum, I have to say after giving this much thought, for me personally, I have yet to come up with an answer, but I do promise whilst I cogitate on it some more, when I do, there shall be a second post!

I am the mother of my adult daughter who will be having WLS on July 9, 2013. We live on an Island in James Bay in the far north. Not a whole lot of knowledge about WLS up here.
This forum has been a god send for us. My daughter is a very very busy teacher and does not have a lot of time for computers so I read this forum every day and copy and paste all the awesome info on here and print it out for her to read when she has time on the weekends.
When she can't find answers to her questions, I come on the forum and boom, there's the answer from great friendly people who have walked through this most interesting and life changing process.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all the people who ask and answer questions to support each other. We appreciate you all taking your time out of your busy lives to help others like Jen and myself!!!!

Orientation - Feb. 19 & 20/13 - NP,Nut, Psych, - Mar. 14/13 - Sleep Study - Mar. 24/13 - OTN with Dr. Sullivan - June 28/13 On my way!!! Preop Sept 25/13 - SURGERY OCTOBER 22/13!!!!!!!!
It's not how you start this life...it's how well you finish it...& I plan to finish it with gusto!!!!
