I had one incident, following Lean Crunch cereal and coffee (I don't usually drink coffee & it's given me an insulin rush before).  I had surgery with Dr. Starr on June 22nd !

I was hypoglycemic years before RNY so have learnt how to recognize symptoms and avoid it or address any issues as soon as possible.  Once I had surgery I hadn't had any issues for over a year (probably because of the amount of protein heavy snacks/meals.  Latley, I'd say the last 4months or so I've had more situations happen.  Some are explainable (haven't eaten for a while, somehow ended up with a real coffee instead of a decaf, didn't eat enough protein at last meal, adrenalin rush, etc...) and sometimes the onset of the weak and shakies aren't explainable.  If you think/know you're hypoglycemic your family Dr, pharmacist, and clinic are great sources of information on how to avoid and deal with symptoms.
