Today is my second day of Optifast, I have no hunger at all, but I am extreme fatigue. I slept for 9 hours last night which is unheard of for me.   At 3:00 this afternoon I didnt know how I would finish out my day at work.  Did anyone else feel this way.

hi there...my first three days of optifast I was tired, and had flu like symptoms, but by day 4 I was feeling better.  Hope your energy level starts to increase...it will be over before you know it...

It will likely get better!  I didn't have a huge energy drop but I did begin sleeping sounder by the end of week 2 of 3.  I sleep much sounder now than when I was at my heaviest!  No wonder I was tired, I was carrying an extra person around my butt/waist!  It will be over very quickly!  Enjoy the ride!

I have not done well on optifast :(  I had a stomach bug Sunday which continued yesterday and on to today.  So I have managed to stomach all of two shakes in total, so I have chalked that up to my being so tired and having a horrible headache.  I have had some broth and the vegetables we are allowed but I am hoping that things improve tomorrow.

I just keep reminding myself of the end goal.

Tomorrow is my last day on opti fast and I remember day 2 thinking it was going to be a long 14 days.  It does get better! And easier!  Keep your eye on your goals :)

Yes, I was both tired AND hungry for the first three days, so at least you got the first one licked!  :)  I also went to bed early every night and slept right through.  It was a relief to sleep more - the more I slept, the less time I had to think about food!  Well, except when I dreamed about food.

Throughout Optifast, I found myself succumbing more to the 2:30-3:00 p.m. doldrums at work, but it was manageable after the first few days.  A 900 calorie per day diet will do that to you!

You're normal.  And you can do it! :)

I am on day 21 with 4 shakes to go and can tell you I was super tired and grumpy the first couple of days but it does get better. You run into tough patches again now and then but they pass. Make sure you drink plenty of water that really helps. ketosis will set in soon and you will feel much better.

Good Luck!
