Swelling around my incision
Hey. 4 days post op and I have an incision just above my belly button that has what seems to be fluid or swelling above it. So much that you can hardly see the incision at all. Should I contact the hospital about this? The rest of my incisions are good but this one is soo painful and I can hardly stand it hurts so much.

It's not red and not hot. Just swollen and very soreI had that exact same one just like yours. If.....IF..it becomes red and inflammed, then go see your family physician about it.
Otherwise, leave it alone. It's irritating as hell I agree. But usually it's just the trauma of the incision making it swell.
Try cooled facecloths on it.
But don't bug at it lol

keep an eye on it, wouldn't recommend introducing anything wet to it, keep it dry and don't frig at it. If there is sign of puss or heat seek medical attention. Do not try home remedies, ointments etc. Mine was still covered at that point, how hard did you have to work at getting all the bandages and steri strips off?
