So excited for New Year's eve
Husband and I signed up for the Brita 5km Resolution Run on New Year's eve. Regardless of where we chose to do it, we'd be out of town. We chose Peterborough and decided to make a whole day of it. We booked a hotel room (with a romantic 2 person jacuzzi in the room)
The race is at 5pm. Then we'll go out to dinner and retire back to our room with some wine for some romance and to ring in the New Year in style. Full hot breakfast in the morning before we head for home.
Usually our get-aways involve camping. This will only be my second time in a hotel room, first time with a jacuzzi in the room. I am so excited!!!
Anyone else want to share their New Year's plans?
Here is the link with the different locations in case anyone wants to start their New Year with a 5km run

Your time will come. I used the couch to 5km podcast training program free from cool runnings.com.
You put it on the ipod and it plays music and tells you when to run and when to walk, with each week progressively more difficult.
Look how far you've come already, you can do whatever you put your mind to.
Thank you. I am a known klutz. Safe is a good thing too.
Peterborough has a great restaurant called Hot Belly Mommas. Hard to get a seat but I love their food. My son went to Trent University so we used to visit. Sounds like a great New Years. Especially the jacuzzi. My husband and I have problems staying awake for midnight so we will have a nice dinner, maybe play cards and fall asleep by 10pm. Sucks getting old LOL
Sounds interesting...and spicey...
We always watch the ball drop, part of the tradition. Part of the night does have a round of cribbage...
