help please
Hi, it's hard to tell what the cause might be. Perhaps if you let us know what your menu is, we can make some suggestions. You do mention drinking a lot of fluids, what do you consider a lot, and what are you drinking? Also, how long after you eat are you waiting to drink? Just a few questions to help us help you.

Just a few things to remember, you aren't eating that much yet, compared to what you were eating before Opti. So your tummy might take a bit to get used to things. Make sure you are not drinking for a half hour before or an hour after you eat, as this will push food out of your pouch quicker and make you feel hungrier. As someone posted, schedule 3 meals and 2 - 3 snacks (remember your shake is a meal). They usually say to eat every 4 hours. If you are finding yourself hungry, try to do something else that might take your mind off things. You should also take into consideration your activity when planning your meals, if you are very active, you may need more food.
Not sure if you are tracking your food and activity, but you should. Fitday or Myfitness Pal or something like that will help you track what you are eating and doing. Then you can see what you are eating in number.
Hope this helps.

Tummy rumbling after Gastric Bypass does not necessarily mean hunger. Your plumbing has been rearranged and it may be rumbly and noisy for quite some time. Eat on the schedule you were given and no more. Wait at least 30 minutes after you eat before you drink. Follow the rules and you will be successful. If you think you are hungry do something to distract yourself until it is time to eat again.

Hey I'm over 5 years out and I still have days when you can hear the rumbling from across the room. Most of the time it comes from lower down then where the pouch is situated. There is nothing wrong.

I am not "there" yet so my advice might be totally off target but ....
Are you feeling physically hungry or "mentally" hungry? I think this is a hard one to determine and I think that if you are feeling hungry and you are not sure which kind of hunger it is... perhaps have a drink of tea and see if you still feel hungry.
What are you eating now? slider foods? like soup... or thicker foods like chilli? perhaps your food is going through too fast and you need to thicken it up a little?
Hope you can figure it out... :) Good luck!!

The only additional suggestion that I would make is to replace the mashed potatoes with more protein. I still don't eat too many carbs at 8 weeks out, because I just don't have room after eating the recommended amount of protein! Replace the potatoes with some melted cheese, or maybe eat some more ground beef and use a light gravy or sauce instead of potatoes. I get at least 100 grams of protein per day, and so far it's helping me feel satisfied.
Good luck!
