Done surgery!!
So I had my surgery yesterday!! Everything ran smoothly and was on time. The staff at HRRH are awesome, I have zero complaints!
Like usual though, I have a question! How many of you have had chest pain from all the gas? I have a lot, no pain at all in my stomach, just my chest. Ive been walking and walking, but it's still there!:(
Congratulations! ![]()

Congrats! Glad everything went well. Welcome to the bench!
Yes, it felt like the pain was kind of in the chest as well when I had the surgery, since they did so much re-arranging in there. :)

Congrats on your surgery! Beside the actual slicing and dicing they have done, they blew your abdominal cavity up with air so they could more easily work on your organs. All of this combined can cause pain (especially in shoulder and tummy area). Make sure you stay ahead of the pain and you're properly rating its intensity to the nurses when they ask. That will mean you're more likely to be sent home with appropriate pain meds for your particular case (we're all different when it comes to pain and its intensity). Enjoy the ride and heal well! ![]()
Welcome to the bench! I loved the IV gravol in the hospital. Non - narcotic but soothing to stomach and calming - so enjoy !
Escaping gas from the air they blew you up with sometimes goes under the skin, They can't do much except pain killers and time. I think movement can't hurt.
Good luck !
