Thank you everyone!! I have been sitting and laying down for the last hour, drinking ALOT of water- more than usual to keep fluids moving and have been feeling a little more better.. so.. I will be taking things down a notch in regards to walking and just focus on breathing, drinking and protein...

I get the light headed feeling quite often (I'm almost six months out) when I sit or stand up too quickly. It even happens if I walk for long periods. My blood pressure is quite low since surgery. I've mentioned it to my centre, family doctor and specialists I see but no one seems overly concerned. I'm hoping to start back with CrossFit in the next week so we'll see how that goes. One burpee will be an indication of how a WOD will go!

If you are 6 months out, and THEY don't seem concerned, that is no reason for you to dismiss it.
Get on their asses about it!.. MAKE them concerned.
the damages of passing out include but are not limited to: head injury, broken bones, getting hit by a car is you are jogging beside traffic, lacerations.
Get on their asses about this to check it out and find out
Hi Chanelle. Sorry you're feeling so crappy. I also suffered a lot of weird dizzy spells. Your body is so in shock not only from the surgery but from the lack of calories you're consuming. Don't get frustrated that the 10 minutes of walking did you in. At a week, I was only making it to the end of my driveway and back. I suggest you cut back a bit, try doing half and see how you feel. You can slowly work up adding an extra lap at a time and see how you react. You see the dr. Thursday so you're better safe than sorry. (seems all us Ottawa gals go in on Thursday, maybe we'll run into each other!)
Anyways, hang in there. It gets better. I promise!
Jenn
