I assume the hospital would have some plus size gowns, or did you have to supply your own for your stay?

I am curious about this one.

they are big enough....you can also wear another gown robe style to give you extra coverage!

TWH had large gowns. That is all I wore since one of my incisions seeped.

Yup they have large gowns and wearing two is a common thing. You do bleed a bit as the incisions heal so you may want to leave  your own stuff home. Up to you really. Better to be comfortable. You're also going to have an IV and they will want to stick you with needles and junk too.

I took a housecoat and wore their gowns. Don't forget slippers!

I wore slipper, a tank top (with a built in bra) and my undies. I was out hoofing around within hours of surgery. I did have some blood from the incisions, but that has washed out, and I wear the tank top to bed. And I was very warm in the hospital. I froze at home, but my thyroid was off, and my thyroid medication has been adjusted.

My surgery was at Saint Mikes, post op I wore stretch knit Jammie bottoms ( that I wore when I was pregnant) and a big t shirt, pre op I had a heated pre op gown, it was awesome...they plugged it in to air table hot air pump and it kept me cosy until they knocked me out. In recovery I was in a Jumbo gown.

I found it more comfortable wearing the 2 gowns they provided. also there was some staining from the incisions. I took very very little things with me to the hospital, you are not there long enough to use most of what you bring.

I just wore their gowns.  I was hurty and definetly didn't feel like wearing my own clothes or even getting dressed lol.  Walked those halls in my double gowns !

Just remember to bring big comfy sox.  That's one thing I did take and my crocs.
