Need to get back on track...
Okay, so after my appointment with the nurse back in December where I was told I don't qualify for surgery... and speaking with the dietician who talked to me about making an appt with the dietician that is through my doctor's clinic to discuss my other options as well as Craving Change...I fell off the wagon... with the holidays and everything that I'm going through with my ex, I've put some pounds back on, not really sure right now how much as I'm afraid to get on the scale but I'm sure I'll find out tomorrow as I have now bitten the bullet and called to set up my first appt with the dietician, which is of course tomorrow! After that post on OH about Craving Change (thank you Shiloh) I know I can't let myself get back into the routine that put me at the weight I was/am...so, as the saying goes "Let's do this!" Wish me luck!

Moving on doesn't mean you forget about things. It just means you have to accept what happened and continue LIVING

May I ask why you didn't qualify for surgery? I think I am only a 39 BMI and I'm so worried I will be denied. I'm actually trying to fatten up.
I had a BMI under 40 with no co-morbidities. For me, I would rather try with a program/dietician then have to go through major surgery, I am a single mom to three kids 10 and under, so I really don't think surgery is the way for me. Have you had a sleep apnea test? do you have high blood pressure? diabetes? not sure what else would be a co-morb but if you have any, then don't worry about your BMI or "fattening up". It's funny though so many posters before had said they go by your referral weight, not for me, my referral weight was 265lbs, I went in for my first appointment, went on the scale and voila 236lbs...mind you that took me almost a year to lose but I still think maybe I shouldn't have tried to lose weight on my own then I'd be probably getting pretty close to a surgery date, I'd still be a contender..LOL but as mentioned above, I think for my kids' sake, I'm going to try it this way. They did say if I ever found myself back above BMI of 40 that I could be re-referred...so...who knows...
but good luck on your WLS journey...
