Thank-you for sharing your story. I am new here and this is what i love about this site. It is not a easy go for alot of people and by telling what has happened and is happening helps a lot of up coming patients. I wish you a speedy recovery after this next surgery . God Bless , Krista...

What a nightmare. It's hard to read about this sort of situation, but it's important for us all to be aware of these kinds of complications. I hope that things turn for the better soon.

I'm sorry you had complication. Can I just say I can relate to the vomiting.....I felt like a clogged toilet for 5 days, when I had surgery for my colon cancer. I had a g-tube but I refused it. UGH. So gross.

I hope things start to look up for you.

Yikes, and hugs galore. I am sorry you had to go through this unbelievably scary scenario but am super glad you are stable and there is a plan to get you through this.

Just curious if the hernia was caused by the original surgery or why it wasn't seen when your VSG was done. It makes me wonder whether a follow up barium swallow should be standard for all. Because I take aspirin daily my doc kept me on prevacid and I certainly get GERD if I don't take it.

Knowing what you know now, what if anything would you have done differently?

Best wishes for your last surgery. Which site are you at? Church, Keele or Finch?
