What are you eating/Doing today?
So I got some Wheat Bran yesterday (not in the baking aisle, with the hot cereals).
Here are the stats:
For 1/2 cup (30g):
Calories - 100
Fat - 1.5g
Saturated - 0.2g
Sodium - 5mg
Carbs - 19g
Fibre 10g
Sugar 1g
Protein 5g
Here are my All Bran Bud stats:
Per 1/3 cup (28g):
Calories - 80
Fat - 1g (no saturated or trans)
Sodium - 200 mg
Potassium - 270 mg
Carbs - 22g
Fibre - 11g
Sugar - 7g
Protein 3g
So the Wheat Bran wins on net carbs and sugar, and also has more protein and way less sodium. The All Bran Buds have fewer calories.
I'm going to try the Wheat Bran tomorrow and will let you know how it goes!

Thanx Julia for this info....I agree, seems like the wheat bran is the way to go....1/4 c. would be 9g carbs NET (if I'm calculating it correctly?).
Maybe I'll go to Bulk Barn (NOT today! LOL) and get a small amount to try it out....I think they have that type of bran. When I get it, I'll let you know the stats...okey dokey??
Verity
Sounds great! Although I agree, today is NOT the day to make the trek out to Bulk Barn!!!

That's interesting! I haven't tried them myself, but used BioGaia probiotic drops for my kids quite a bit for digestive issues when they were little.
I'm not sure if they have an adult version. They are available without a prescription, but you have to ask the pharmacist for them because they're stored in the fridge.

Hi Pat....I'd be very interested in knowing which "brand" and "how many" Active Cells (per capsule) that woman is using???
Currently, I take the Life Brand....6 billion cells per capsule......2 caps @ one half hour before dinner.
*thinking, I might up these to "her" regimen and see if it helps with my constipation*
In the past, when I had a lot of "yeast infection" probs, I was taking about TEN of these daily so, guess it won't hurt to try upping my dosage.
I know you prolly won't be getting back to me today, as you're HOPEFULLY on your way out of town...have a FAB vacation!!!

We are heading to the airport soon. Waiting for the limo. One woman said she used the life brand. the other felt the Jameson was better. It seems there are 4 strains and they are not sure which our bodies absorb after surgery so we should try to get more than one. Not sure if that makes sense. Shoppers drug mart has it on sale but nothing on the shelf of the store I went to. Guess I will try it when I get back
