So I had a good appointment with Dr. H today which was nice and enjoyed a fun afternoon with my friend, but when we stopped at the school to pick up the kids I did something stupid. I didn't even think and I lifted my 38lb daughter up into my friend's truck so she could get in a car seat. Stupid move only 2 weeks out from surgery. I've been very careful until now, it was just something I did on reflex. Thankfully I mostly used my hip but now I'm hyper aware of every little twinge. Can't believe I did something so stupid.

I hear you!

I am a little over 3 weeks out and have a 6 year old and twin boys (soon to be 2).

I have pretty much been lifting them on a regular basis for over a week now.

I tried not to but with me in charge of night time - they cannot get into the cribs themselves....

I was really worried at first but the Surgeon actually told me that if you have laparoscopic surgery there is almost nothing you can do to actually hurt yourself...

In any case try and take it easy, I am more scared of falling or slipping.

Dr. S told me there was really nothing I could do to hurt the inside and if I wanted to run a marathon right out of surgery that my stomach would be fine.

Thanks for the reassurance, it makes me feel better. I couldn't believe I did it, but it is nice to know I'm not alone and that my guts sound more sturdy than I thought.

Thanks for the messages, they helped a lot. It is nice to know that I'm not alone and that my guts are sturdier than I thought.
