OMG, OMG, OMG!

So yesterday I went to see the NUT, SW, and RN.  Got the go ahead from all three.  Also had a scope done by Dr. Hagen in the afternoon.  After the scope I asked him if I could call his office to book my surgery.  He said yes.  I was so darn excited.  When I called the office, they were closed for the day.  I had to wait till this morning to call.  It was a long night.  Ella, his assistant, said he was booking in May and June buutt...she had a cancelation this morning for April 16th!!!  Of course I grabbed it.  I am so excited.  That's only a month away.  Next week I go see Dr. Glazer and go see Dr. Hagen to sign the papers and pick-up my Opti.  I never dreamed it would happen this quick.  To all those waiting, be persitent.  Call the clinic and ask for appointments and cancelations.  That's what I did and boy it paid off.  Can't wait to see you all on the losers bench next month!!

CONGRATS, isn't Ella great. good luck with the rest of the process, i have my sugery with Dr. Hagen on the 19th of March.

She is an angel.  Very helpful.  She's trying to coordinate everything so I only have to go there next Thursday.  Dr. glazer, Dr. Hagen, and PATTS all in one day.  Whew!

she did the same for me, one suggestion if you meeting Dr. Hagen at HRRH instead of his office run in and pick up your opti first, i was at my meeting and patts from 10:30 to 5 so his office was closed when i left and i'm in kingston so i was really glad i went there first.

Thanks for the tip.  I'm supposed to see him in the morning at his office before he goes to the hospital for surgeries.  

Thank you for this post - it helps those of us getting closer and feel that time is slowing down to a snail's pace!

What program are you with?

I'm through HRRH.  My doctor sent in the referral on December 21st.  Had orientation on January 21st.  Four months from start to finish is pretty awesome.  

Lori-Lee if you call TWH and ask for cancelations you can get things moving along faster.

Thanks - tomorrow is my last appt, if all goes well.  Then Hi-Ho Hi-Ho off to meet the surgeon I go!
