Completely Off Topic...booking Disney for the fam. Any suggestions?
Hey Melissa. Thanks for the heads up! Do you happen to know if your friend has availability for anytime June 22nd or later? We's consider any time up until the middle of July. Do they have their property listed anywhere that I can view it?! That sounds like a great deal and I'd be so appreciative if you could ask for me.
Okay, it is a 3 bdrm, sleeps 6-8 and 8 miles from Disney. Almost all of July and most of August is available, so yay! lol Oh, and it looks like the price is $575/week...sorry for the misquote.
Here's the link...I'm not sure if I can link it properly but I know several fine folk on here can fix it. I'll also look for my other friend's link...they have a 4 bdrm with a huge pool, tvs in every room, really close to Disney as well but I think it's about $115/night...
Anyway, try this...
Ooh, the link worked. Yay!
My friend's name is Lisa. She lives in Ottawa (like me) and she is a foster parent. So, you can just tell her Melissa from CAS (children's aid society) referred you and she'll know who you mean. I don't get any perks (lol) but they like to have some idea of who they are renting to... Good luck!
Thank you so much for the connection. It helps to be referred by someone on good word, otherwise, you never know what you'll get. If they do indeed leave the children's passes, that would be exceptional. It didn't list that in the posting, but it would be a bonus, not a deal breaker. Looks like a nice house, and having the private pool is wonderful! I will send her an email for sure! Thanks so much.
I just sent her a FB msg to ask about the children's passes. I'll let you know what she says.
I really do like to stay off-site. That way I can stagger park days if I want and I do find it cheaper. Also, like someone else mentioned, it is nice to cross the border and fly from there. It saves time and sanity and with the price of gas these days, driving can add up fast, too. Good luck!
Okay, so my friend said they are going back down there in May and are most likely buying new passes. They are the year-long weekday passes but they do have some blackout dates and you can check those dates out online. The reason that others can use the children's passes is that they don't fingerprint the kids. wtf? lol Anyway, hope this helps and your family can enjoy Disney without selling a kidney to get there! :D
