Did you take a peek at the nutritional info that they have in little tear-off sheets on the bin for the protein powder?  Basically, I put as much in as I could stand for that particular meal. :)  I'd try and get at least a couple of tablespoons of it into whatever I happened to be eating.  So if I was eating a quarter cup of yogurt, I'd try to get a couple of tablespoons of the powder into it as well.  Same with a quarter cup of cottage cheese, or soup.  And I'd also stir it into oatmeal, although I found that kind of gross.

Soup I found tricky with protein powder, because it would sometimes curdle in the soup and that is not pretty or pleasant!  So don't boil your soup with the powder in it, or you'll get a mess...

If only I'd had access to Premier Protein shakes during my full fluids stage.  I find them quite palatable.  But you can only get them at Costco, and I didn't have a membership there at first.  I bought one just for the shakes and the Wellnesse liquid calcium!

I got the tear off sheet from bulk barn but it didn't say how much to use in what.  I bought a case of premier shakes so I have those as well.  I guess I'll just put as much of the powder as I can stomach into my foods.

Oh, I forgot - and you can get a LOT of the unflavoured powder into fat-free, no-sugar-added jello pudding without noticing it much.  When I made up a batch of it (which is 2 cups altogether since you use 2 cups of milk), I used to add half a cup of protein powder to it!  So if you split that into 8 servings, you'd get 2 tbsps per serving.

Yep, that's about all there is to it, pinch a bit of skin anywhere below the belly button angle the needle at 45 degrees stick it in and press the plinger, they will teach you at hospital and they have you do it while there so they can teach you how.
The protein powder in SF pudding is very good, I added peanut butter chocolate to chocolate pudding and it was delish. As for the Bulk Barn whey isolate the stats are available online, it's 23 g protein for 2 tbs.

Still sounds icky.  I hope I can do it.  Thanks for the info on the whey isolate.  That's what I was looking for.  You're so smart :)

I had trouble with the premier shakes from costco....just too sweet and fake tasting. My daughter gave me some chocolate protein powder that I blend with 2/3 cup of 1%milk and a 1/3 cup of water and half a banana. I am drinking two of those a day plus crackers and low fat cheese for my other meal and getting about 70 grams of protein. Figure I will keep doing it till I can eat the protein. I am three weeks today post-op and just starting to feel good. I have gout in my left foot that has kept me from exercising so hopefully it will go soon and I can get walking. I am very glad I had the surgery and am still losing about 5 pounds a week even not as active as I would like to be!
