Skyrobics Tuesday April 16, 2013? Who's going to join me??
Trampoline aerobics is a low impact, cardio workout for people of all ages, sizes, and levels of experience. I try to go to this trampoline aerobics class once a week because it is just so much fun. It takes the boredom out of regular exercise. Plus, it is a kick ass workout!
There are always people there of varying experience, and I've never been a week where at least 4-5 people weren't trying it out for the first time. Kuddos to Lizzie54 who made it out last week and actually won big time prizes for holding the longest and best plank! Woot! Woot! You will work as hard as you allow yourself, and variations of each exercise are given so you can choose your level of intensity. The instructor begins the class with an intro for people who are new.
I am extending the invitation to anyone interested. I go almost every Tuesday (sometimes Thursday too) at 7:00. It is only $5 for the class if you are trying it out for the first time. If anyone is interested, PM me and I'll arrange to meet you at the door. Here is the info:

Can you describe the tramps - are they the small individual tramps or larger tramps - do you go on barefoot or with shoes? I have very high arches making me very unstable on my feet as very little foot actually touches the ground. This has led to knee problems which I do not want to reinjure.
I remember loving tramp at high school but not sure I could do a class especially if the tramps are small.
I am not sure about the exact measurements. Everyone gets their own trampoline that is about 8' by 6' Id guess? The court is like a network of trampolines all separated by strips of mats. Everything is built into the floor, so there is no way to fall off of anything. You cannot even see underneath them all. You can jump barefoot, or they have shoes that they give you, that are made for trampolining. They look like high-tops. I think they give extra ankle support. I usually wear the shoes. I suppose you could hurt your knee if you fell weird, but you can bounce at whatever night you are comfortable with. I have recently recoverer from patellar tendonitis in my left knee. I couldn't run for quite some time, but I did do this class while I was doing physio, and it never bothered my knee. I have some experience with trampoline though-I was a certified coach in high school/university, so I am quite comfortable. Anyhow, you can watch a video on the website to see it in action. You'll have to remember that the people in the video are quite good, but many people try it new each week, also.
