Need a little bit of help.
Hello Everyone!,
I was just wondering if anyone knows of a site or something I can go on to see what drugs are covered under OHIP, or if anyone of you wonderful people had to pay extra for something, I do know I have to pay for the Opti and Vits myself. Thanks for the help.
And yes I did try the search function on here and weeded through a couple dozen posts but the answer I looking for I did not find.

Yeah generally you pay for the Opti and your vitamins. All the drugs you need while in the hospital that are used for the surgery are covered, but your own prescriptions and any take home pain medication will be your own expense.

Monica, I am talking about the needles your suppose to have 10 days after surgery, and there are two other things I am suppose to pick up along with the Opti fast. :) I only have OHIP I don't know if that helps or not.

No OHIP will not cover prescription medications. The prescription you get to fill yourself are out of your pocket or private coverage if you have it. OHIP will only cover the medications you receive will in hospital

I take it that you are at St. Joes. If so and you can not afford the needles just tell them and they can help you out with it. I could not afford them and they got it covered for me. The Opti fast you have to buy. Start saving for that and ask around some people have left overs that they will give or sell cheap. Good Luck

I will be getting my Opti soon, I can pay for both. I was just wondering a ball park number you know. But it is good to know that they will help me out if I need it! Gotta love living in Ontario!!
