Opti

So I am starting Opti in 9 days which I am so excited about as it means I will only have 3 more weeks after that for surgery.

So my question is we have a boat cruise for the company the day after I start Opti and I have to be in Colorado Springs for work the week of the 22nd again while I will be on Opti :( So any suggestions on how to be creative or favorite syrups people have.  Or anything to make this easy :) if possible :)

Thanks!

honestly... I dont think I could do opti on a cruise. There is just  too much temptation. Maybe you could handle it ok, but not me. I found the best way to take opti was to just mix it with water , sometimes I blended a lil ice with it too... just to stretch it out.

How long is your cruise? Does your plan permit things like sf jello, sf popcycles, broth? I never used syrups, many do, I only used pure cocoa and it worked well for me. The first 4-5 days are the hardest, after that, your so proud of yourself and aren't hungry, you can do this!!!

Thanks for the advice and really appreciate the motivation :).  The Cruise is only a diner cruise so 4 hours.  I can have SF Jello and Broth so I plan on bringing them with me :)

Don't try to get too creative with the shakes. Suck it back and then enjoy the "other stuff" you can have - broth, sf jello, etc. Cruises generally have just about anything you want...I would live on miso soup - just ask and they will pretty much accommodate you.

I am still pre op but have seen lots on here talk about the Opti trots so you might want to keep that in mind to and be ready just incase.  Maybe others can advise you what to have on hand in case it becomes an issue.
