First off CONGRATS!!!! to Kelly for doing her Marathon Yesterday - she has been an inspiration for me as well- Yesterday i ran our local hospitals 8km run run - funny thing is i have been going farther distances than this but never with large hills and this one had a huge hill ,  Anyways - i made it through - time was 52.39 minutes ...winning time was 31 minutes - i finished 68th overall which im happy with ...next step - The Stash Dash ..10 KM  FLAT!!!  on Nov 30th - taking today off and then back on the roads tommorrow

 

 

 

 

 

 


 

Surgery Date - AUGUST 22, 2011 - Ran first 5KM Race - Oct 14, 2012 (28 min)  - Currently maintaining a healthy 190 lbs and training for my first half marathon in the summer of 2013

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

That is a great time and just be proud that you finish the race. If you have a chance you should add some hill running into your training. It does help make you a stronger runner.

I agree, Kelly is a rock star! I think I was at the same run as you, and it was my very first ever...I am 2 months post op and completed my first 5K in 41.17.... Congrats!
