You can crush pills and put in apple sauce. Some capsules can not be broken. As long as they are not too big you should be able to swallow them. Usually at your pre-op they will go over your meds. Ask questions and if you have to get alternative ones.
Check with your pharmacist, they can tell you what can be crushed/split and what can't. The ones that can't they may be able to get you a different form of pill, or suggest an alternative that you can discuss with your doctor.
