Meet the Surgeon and Endoscope

Good afternoon,

This morning I met with Dr. Mamazza, I was a little worried about meeting him as I had read many negative reviews about his bedside manner. I really liked him, he had a great sense of humour. He has approved me for RNY but he wants be to have an endoscope done prior to surgery to check for a hernia. I have never had one done before. Could you share your experience so I know what to expect?

I have no endoscope experience, so you'll have to wait for others to comment on that...

I had an endoscopy last year and hand on heart it was fine. I don't even remember having it done. They sedate you and you literally wake up and it's all done (well that's what happened to me)

I have had an endoscopy. I was very nervous before having it as it was my first time , but I can honestly says it was very very quick and easy and no discomfort afterward. Good luck ! :-)

I don't think so . I had mine just before this whole process started for me .
