Techie Advice needed

Ok, before I quit my job to move I actually had computer skills, but a month later and my brain has fried or this site is too complicated for me.
I would love to use my smileys in my posts but since they redid the format my screen has shrunk. The smiley's used to be there with the symbols you type to get one to show up. Now I just see the symbols and no smileys. The smileys do show up at the top without the symbols when I do a new post. Also I have Smileys downloaded on to my email site but can't get them to copy here to put into posts. How do I do this? Smileys look like fun but I can't use them.

ok this one i think i can handle!whooo hooo jan-look at the reply screen--on the line with the B I T (color) there is a smiley-click on him and let them load-you can scroll down to more--then-just click on the one that you want! it is really not that hard--you have been thru alot !! you can do it!!!!

Thanks you were a help but I still have some questions.
I don't have a smiley on my OH board. I had to go to my Yahoo board and then I realized if I copy something it won't show up as a smiley just text in my preview, so I thought it didn't work. However if I post it, the smiley shows up with no text. The one thing that bothers me about this is that a pop up comes up to tell me if I use this smiley, I am giving access to someone(smiley's cookies?) to see what I have copied and pasted to my clipboard recently. Do you get that? It doesn't sound safe to me.
But what do I know?

You can put a "smiley" in only if you hit "Post a Reply" or "New Topic"....when you go to the white reply part you SHOULD see on the bar over the white reply area a .....if you don't something is wrong. When you click on the ...it will open a window and it  I am sure you can figure that out. Hugs, Marti

when you are replying to someone at the top it says you are using html editor #2? click on that and make it HTML editor #1 then you will have the smileys...ok   Jan

Aloha......OK, I was using Editor #2, and had to space 3 times to not have my text run together. I'm going to try using Editor #1 and see what happens. Um...I do not see anything with smiley faces here though. Sending just to see what happens. Aloha nui loa, KarenS
