Morning All, Its Thursday May 29 357AM

Candy you sound just like me with my gardens....I never get tired of moving things around so you can have more of the beautiful color spread out. We have 3 acres that is mostly flower beds and pathways. If it wasnt for Hubby, Joe and Preen i would never get done weeding lol  Well im off to go work in the gardens again.  We also bought a rental house and are refurbsing that so some garden time is being put to that use. 

Good morning, my OFF family. I am hoping that so far so good for everyone. Not good here~at least earlier. It is better now. Bill and I was in a fight before 7:30 this morning. I went to get on the computer and it wouldn't work. I finally found out the the modem wasn't working. I called the cable company (with the cell phone since the phone is cable too) and she told me that it wasn't in a working outlet or something having to do with the power. I told hung up and told Bill and all he did is follow me around the living room like a puppy dog. I kept telling him that the outlet must not be working and he kept insisting that it was something else. I told him that the cable lady told me that. Finally he told me that I should stop yelling at him and I told him to stop treating me like I am stupid. I went into the bedroom and then he told me that he got it fixed. He said that the outlet wasn't working and he got another power strip and put it in another outlet. HUH??? THE OUTLET WASN'T WORKING YOU SAY? duh!!! I said that 10 minutes ago, but you will be proud of me since I didn't say that out loud. lol He told me that he changed the power strip in another outlet and now it works. I told him that he better learn to shut his pie hole (yes I said that!) and realize that people sometimes know things that he doesn't. So far that seems to be behind us now. That is a good thing since I can't stand upsets like that anymore. I like being in peace and quiet. I have to make a big pan of mac and cheese this morning for a funeral dinner at the church. Part of me is saying that maybe I should stay and help at the dinner but then another part of me is saying I shouldn't do that and I think that part of me is winning the fight. I hate doing anything having to do with the kitchen at the church. I helped out at the soup kitchen that the church had and I finally stopped since I couldn't do it because I hated doing it. I think I am going to listen to the part of me saying no! The sun is out brightly and it is cooler but it got to almost 70 yesterday and it suppose to slowly get warmer. I think Bill told me that the paper said it is going to get to 70 today. That must mean that spring is finally going to get here. But then again I thought that before so I am not going to think anymore!  I better get going. I am going to have to start that mac and cheese and get it done and to the church. I am sending big hugs and lots of love to all my sisters and brothers. Prayers are being said for all and special ones for those in need.

Good morning We had a hard frost last night. The plants spent the night on the deck because I didn't feel like fighting the darned cats to lug them all inside.  In a few minutes I am headed to the hospital to visit one of the newbies from the support group. They seem to appreciate having me visit after their surgery.  Our hospital has amazing new gowns. They are connected to an air hose and have a control to make the temperature warmer or cooler. That is such a good idea. I want one for home. Throughout this WLS journey my skin has stayed pretty good. All of a sudden I am looking like a melted candle. It looks as if the skin is hanging off bones - not a pretty sight. Plastic surgery is not a consideration, no matter how bad this looks. I have had enough surgeries and can't envision going through an elective surgery and recouperation. Nope, I'll live with it. Annette

WELL I AM BACK HOME AND HAPPY AS ALL GET OUT...RICK CAME BACK WITH ME AGAIN!! WOOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL FIND OUT TODAY IF I GOT THE JOB IN OHIO...WILL KEEP YOU POSTED SOON AS I HEAR ANYTHING!!!! HAD A GREAT TIME IN OHIO THIS PAST WEEKEND....BBQ'S 2 NIGHTS...ONE WITH HIS BUDDIES AND ONE WITH HIS FAMILY...OME WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AT HIS BUDDIES HOUSE!!!!! I NEVER LAUGHED SO MUCH LIKE I DID THAT NIGHT!!!! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN!!!! DIDN'T GET TO SEE THE BABY...DAM!!!! OH WELL I WILL AGAIN SOON I AM SURE!!!!

I HAVE A FUNERAL THIS MORNING FOR A DEAR FRIEND OF MY FAMILY....HE WAS SANTA TO US KIDS FOR YEARS AT THE V.F.W. AND I KNEW IT WAS HIM WITH THOSE PRETTY BLUE EYES....LOL JUST WISH HE COULD SEE ME NOW THAT I LOST THIS WEIGHT....LAST TIME HE SAW ME HE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO GET SOME FAT OFF ME BEFORE I DIED....WELL LIKE I SAID...WISH HE COULD SEE ME NOW!!!!! I HAVE ON A ONE PIECE SKIRT/SHOT TYPE DRESS IN BLACK AND WHITE WITH BLACK NYLONS AND BLACK HEELS AND SILVER JEWELRY....RICK SAID I LOOK VERY PRETTY THIS MORNING....AWWWW HE IS SO NICE TO ME TO COMPLIMENT ME LIKE THAT!! BEEN A VERY LONG TIME THAT ANYONE EVER TOLD ME I LOOKED NICE!!!

Good morning Carla and Friends Carla, you can get a hurricane supply list from almost anywhere - grocery stores, gas stations, pharmacies...  Since Katrina we live with a box of hurricane supplies at hand.  It contains basic medical supplies, flashlights with batteries, canned meat, fruit, veggies, and beans, a jar of peanut butter, can opener, plastic utensils, cups and bowls, paper plates, and garbage bags.  I rotate the canned food every few weeks.  As for bottled water, I have a case in my trunk at all times and another in the pantry.  There's another box in the garage with basic cleaning supplies.  I'm ready or at least think I am. After work yesterday, we went to see Ethan's first T-ball game!  What a hoot!   14 kids (2 of them girls) between 3 - 5.  I forgot how uncoordinated kids this age can be.  Bless their hearts, they do try!  Ethan was so happy grandpa and grandma went to his game.  When it ended he came running up to us with hugs and kisses and thanked us for coming - how sweet is that!  We didn't get back home until almost 9:30 - George decided he needed to stop at the grocery for milk, he drinks soy milk and was almost out.  $25.00 later we were finally headed home.  We had been gone since beffore 6:30 yesterday morning - what a long day!  Today I'm whipped. George fell asleep on the living room sofa last night, I went up to bed.  Around 3:15 I woke up, rolled over and went back to sleep.  At 4:30 George crawled into bed.  I made a trip to the bathroom in the dark and came back to find our bed totally messed up.  I tried covering myself and found the sheet too short.  I NEED my feet tucked in.  We're at a loss as to how he did it, and realized after the clock went off and the light went on that somehow he managed to turn the sheet a quarter turn so that the head and foot were crossways, and on top of that he had the sheet turned over.  He must have been wrestling a bear those few minutes I was in the bathroom.  MEN - if they ain't snoring, they finding other reasons to keep you awake and only one of them is FUN! 

Good Morning Carla and everyone...... Another busy day today. I still haven't caught up on the board......hopefully tonight. I sure did miss everyone.  Work and more work today. Good Morning Carla and my new friends.  Everyone is so busy, whew! me too. I think that is probably a good thing as when I am really busy I can forget about food. Yesterday I had PT rode the stationary bike for 10 mins of . Today my knees are so sore I don't know if I'm going to get any walking in. Just walking from room to room is killing me.  Maybe I'll concentrate on my upper arm & shoulder exercises.  The SIL thinks I need to walk to keep them from stiffening up but I'm not sure, already popped 2 Aleeve and no relief yet.  I really need to work in my home office today as I have really neglected it for the past week.  I want to be outside in the sun so I;'ll have to compromise if I can work fast this am maybe I can be out this afternoon.  I got turned down for SS but it is ok, they feel that as a bookkeeper I can do my job with few restrictions. That probabaly is true except that sitting for 8 hours a day makes the whole situation with my back worse not to mention my weight. We're ok $$$$$$$$$ so that is good.  The hubby says not to worry about it, take care of me, so that is what I am going to do. I actually am doing better not working since I can be witht he granddaughters more and that makes me more active.  Have a great day. Paulette

Hi Carla and everyone: Hello from my home! Yes, I have a computer at home at last! Computer geek delivered yesterday and I set it up last night, but couldn't get the modem set up. I had to call AT&T this afternoon and listen to their tech support woman; she was very nice and patient but I have problems understanding their Indian accents sometimes.Then, after shutting down the computer the first time, it wouldn't let me do what she was trying to do, so I had to shut it down again ... typical Windows stuff. But then we got it done and I'm online again! Yey! It's so nice to have an Internet connection and be able to access it at home. I've missed talking to y'all on the weekends. Today was payday, or as I call it, exchange day. Went to PetsMart ... was only going to buy some Greenies treats for Diva and Nettie (Scooter doesn't like them anymore; I have to buy him Temptations), but they had litter on sale and then they had their litter pan liners really cheap ($4.40 for 30 when they're usually nearly $10), so I got some of those too. Then I went over to Starbucks for a bottle of SF Cinnamon Dolce syrup and some coffee; filled up the tank (nearly $40; it's up to $4.09 today); then over to Meijer for grocery shopping ... spent $65 there, but got some good deals. Came home with enough to pay the cleaning lady and $20 for me. I know I should cut out the cleaning lady, but I tried vacuuming the other day and I was too sore after 10 minutes. And dusting wasn't any better. I think she is a good investment even if it's a little more than I should spend. I'll suck it up somewhere else. Besides, vacuuming and dusting also aggravates my allergies. And the cleaning lady keeps me from being too much of a slob (Carla, you have been to my condo and know that I can be a slob!) Don't know why, but I have a really bad neck ache today plus a bit of a headache, but the Imitrex took away the headache. We are expecting storms tonight ... it's supposed to get up to 70s today (it was gorgeous this morning but is clouding up now).  Well, I'm going to try to take a nap before work. Have a good day.

I worked this morning so I will have a nice three day weekend. Spent the afternoon finally getting my garage spic and span -- found some stuff I didn't want anymore, so I cleaned it up and put it out by the street -- it was gone in no time!! It took nearly 3 hrs to get it all done, I even cleaned under and behind my washer and dryer.
Glad that job's done for a while.

Going to Menards tomorrow to look for a new light fixture for over my bathroom vanity. They will be coming soon to put new vinyl on the bathroom floor.....that's it, I'm not paying for anything else in this house, since it's a rental. My church owns the property, so I don't feel bad about doing some improvements....they're for MY benefit.

Going to watch DS play softball at 8p.m. They play a double header so won't get home until after ten, but hey I don't have to get up tomorrow, so it's ok.

I was among those of you who couldn't sleep last nite too.
Was it the moon???? My right knee hurt no matter how I tried to get comfortable...called the ortho doc today and have an appt. for June 11th. The right knee was replaced in 1997 so it's 11 yrs old....hope it doesn't have to be done again. I will also talk with him about the resurfacing of my hip socket.....have had it for nearly 18 yrs. and the plastic socket needs some attention....the ball and shank are titanium so they are perfect yet.
