Good early morning my friends
Well, this is day three of waking before 4:00 a.m. and it's getting really old. Even with sleep meds I can't seem to get a full nights rest. Tonight doesn't look good either. Dear old Ike is coming to visit Arkansas and they are predicting severe storms after 1:00 a.m. tonight. Maybe I'll be so tired I'll sleep through it?
Gas shot up 45 cents a gallon from the time I went to work till the time I left to come home. The Gov has issued a "no price gouging" order on gas.....what kind of oxymoron is that??? As soon as people noticed the prices going up they started filling up and the lines were long. A friend on the AR board said her local Sam's station ran out of gas ( reports say there won't be any gas tankers coming for awhile).
We're one week away from the Walk From Obesity. If anyone would like to sponsor me I'd LOVE it! I'm trying to make $500 and I'm up to $325. Morning all......it's been raining here all night and we're no
where close to Ike....hope those who are are safe and
secure. My nephew lived in Spring, TX which is a suburb
of Houston...they moved back to Indiana about a year ago.
He took us down to Galveston when Steve and I visited them a few yrs ago and it was so beautiful.....shudder to
think what it looks like now.
Awake at 4 a.m. too....went potty and back to bed but
didn't sleep. Have showered and made coffee and checking on OFF family.
Cleaning house today and if it ever stops raining, make a
trip to Wally World for last minute trip supplies.....otherwise nothing else on the schedule.
Eileen - glad your headache meds worked and wondering if it's as "soggy" up your way as it is here in Sturgis!!
Marc - sounds like you are on the mend.....keep up the good work on your PT....it makes all the difference.
Susan - there was a rumor going on around here too that gas was going up to $5 or $6 a gallon.....hopefully it was just a rumor!!

pat; my stepdaughter and grands (twins) are in spring-( we were talking at one point of moving there at same apt complex with her ) lost power at 230 am--talked with her at 745 this am....mucho wind - she couldn't see outside yet but they are ok so far.dining table blocked up against door and high chairs in front of windows...

Yes, it's raining here too ... it stopped for awhile but when I drove home last night it started pouring again. We were supposed to have a Press outdoor garage sale today at the minor league ballpark but that was canceled; there's Fiesta Mexicana downtown that I'll bet is canceled too. The Sox and Tigers are supposed to play a doubleheader today but I'll bet that's canceled now because I think it's raining in Chicago too (not sure though). I can always tell when a storm system is coming through because I get a really bad headache and my body hurts. And voila! Yesterday that's what happened.

Try this site, it has the DPOA for both health and finance, is free and you can just down load the forms and print them out.
You can also get a DPOA for Health care a most hospitals. I have a wonderful form I would be happy to mail you called FIVE WISHES that we are giving to our residents and families. It is a wonderful form that is not so cold and impersonal as a regular DPOA. It is too free.
It is smart to do this now because if the person starts to have cognition problems they may not be able to do the DPOA or it may be considered invalid if the notary thinks they are not of sound mind.
I help with this stuff on a regular basis and am also a notary. So let me know if you want one of the FIVE WISHES forms.
