Good Morning Everyone...Greetings from North Dakota. Our snow has pretty much all melted and it is a beautiful Fall Day. It is so great to log on here in the morning and read about what all of you are doing. Congratulations and good luck to all that are having surgery soon. There are alot of fall colds going around here recently and so far I have "dodged" that bullet. I fear catching one right before my surgery and it has to be postponed. Gotta have faith I guess.
The Best to all of you today......
Sandy
Hi George and my OFF family:
It turned cool and gloomy here today. When I got home last night, I opened the window but quickly closed it ... it was too cold! Now I'm in slippers and my winter robe again. When I came into the room where the computer is, I saw this big pile of stuff on the cat tower ... I thought it was cat barf, but it turned out it was poop ... pheewwie! I thought I smelled something last night, but I thought it was in the box ... guess I was wrong. The box is right in front of the spot. Someone missed! Hope I don't have a sick cat. Can't afford a sick cat right now (well, never can afford a sick cat.) They don't seem sick ... they all look OK.
The visit with the rehab doc was not good. He didn't like the fact that ortho doc No. 3 told me not to do his exercises. He was really pissed, in fact. He said the hinged brace is doing the same thing as the exercises, and that eventually I'd have to do the exercises. I don't know ... I'm getting too much advice from too many docs. Anyway, he more or less stormed out of the office and said if I needed his help again, to call and schedule an appointment. I didn't really feel the exercises were doing all that much good anyway. Still was in pain. The brace helps when I'm walking at least, but when I take it off, I'm in pain. Can't wear it 24/7 (it would hurt too much to sleep in it). Knee still hurts when I bend it too much. I think eventually we're going to have to go back in there and fix it, I hate to say. I hate the attitude of all these docs ... this is my body, and they're trying to rule my decisions. I hate that.
I was so tired yesterday ... don't know why. I felt like I was walking in a dream. Couldn't get untracked at work at all. Luckily, I had a light workload. Had to clear off my desk because they were going to clean it off ... you should have seen all the dust! I was so itchy and sneezy after that. Got home early enough to see most of the ballgame ... the Rays are really killing the Red Sox. I think it's going to be the Rays and Phillies in the World Series. Not much of a prediction at this stage.
Well, I should get off the computer and do something. Have a good day.

Good afternoon, George and everyone. I am here for today, nut sure about tomorrow but today is good.
Yesterday was pretty much a day from h3ll. It started out alright and seems to have gone down hill from there. But I guess we all have days like that I guess.
I got Bill to the new doctor yesterday and he liked him. I was doubtful at first but then he told me that he liked him. He gave him another script for Chantix and I don't think that he is going to get it filled. He was on it for 3 months and did well. He stopped smoking that first day and never picked up another one for 3 months. Then when it came time for him to come off it he was afraid and wanted the nicotine patch. I told him that I didn't think that was a good idea but he NEEDED it. So being the wonderful wife that I am (someone must say it and so I figured it needed to be me.) I bought him the lowest strength of patch. Bam! That was all it took. The nicotine got back into his system and that was all it took. I told him but sometimes he thinks I am the dumbest person to walk this earth.
Then I go out to get Carol (my daughter in law) to take her to the OB appointment. We were told that we couldn't get the ultrasound but we would hear Baby Whoozit's heartbeat. When it came time for that and the doctor said let's hear it, I said "Oh boy!" and she smiled and said that is what I have been waiting for and I agreed. Well..........she couldn't get the heartbeat. Carol and Shawn went into instant scared mode. We had to go to the hospital for a stat ultrasound. T was nervous but wouldn't let them know that. Well, that came out fine. The baby is fine and all is well there. Her doctor said that she could go home and just keep the appointment she made for next month. Baby Whoozit is 13 weeks old now. So Carol is now into her 4th month and she is starting to show. You can see the change in her now. She is wearing maternity clothes and had on a Betty Boop shirt that said Hot Mama on it down at the bottom of Betty's picture.
Then I had a meeting at the church last night. It went well but it lasted for 2 hours. It went good but I am so tired of meetings. UGH!! I think they may be going back to normal right now...at least after charge conference on the 2nd of November. I do have to have a SPRC meeting this coming Monday since Pastor wants a one before Charge Conference meeting. I am not sure hwy but who am I to say no? ha ha
I am staying home this afternoon. I had to take my 90 year old neighbor to her doctor's so she could get the samples of her scripts. She was so grateful that I took her and I told her that I would take wherever she needed me to.
I did go across the street and put my application in at the Goodwill store. They had a help wanted sign on the front sign. I got in there and they told me that it was for the drive up drop off and it was very physical work. I told her that I thought it might be for in the store and she said that she would give me an application anyway. So got it filled out and then she said that she would give it to the manager. If she is the woman that I think she might be she is really very nice.
I better get going. I am sending love and hugs to all with prayers going up for everyone. I am saying special ones up for those in need of them. Have a wonderful day or I should say what is left of it anyway.
