I was just wondering if I missed the post on the Mystery Box???Has it moved on? Still in Texas?? I am just excited to see it move on and the reaction on arrivalBeth

I received the box 30 minutes ago.  I am going through it.  Will post later what I kept.

I just talked to Janet, and she said the box needs to go to Linda Barnett next, then to Reggie in Arizona.  There may have been a mix up with the list.

Kept a foot shaped notepad (footnotes), pocket knife, flashlight, and a plate with some broken stones on it (I know that isn't what it is, but Mary wanted it and she knows what it is).  Added my stuff.  I guess my stuff will be a dead giveaway as to what I put in.  Mary will try to mail it out tomorrow.

I opened the box.  I took out the slippers.  I put something else in.  It leaves Texas tomorrow.

I love the slippers.  They are just what I need for my surgery in two weeks.  I have a pair ...okay one... I can't find the other one so these are perfect. Sorry if I sounded brash...mail is so not my thing and it stresses me to no end to have to mail something.  You're new enough to not know that but it's almost a laughing matter with the OFF people. They know better than to mail me something and then they have to tell me to go to the mailbox.  I got my birthday card from Candy two weeks after my birthday.  It was on time, I just went to the mailbox to get my paycheck.  I have them send it to me at home because if they don't I'd never go to the mailbox.   In fact, I went out one day when I had a sick day and the mailman asked if I was Janet.  I told him yes and he said he was about to send condolences to my family. Thought I'd died.

I've pretty much become a recluse in that the only time I'll talk on the phone is on my way to work or on my way home...talk time is 7-8 a.m. and 7-9 p.m. when I'm on my way home.  I've got messages blinking on the phone here in the house and I haven't checked in eons.  I talk on the phone all day.... I come home and go to bed.....

I know that is way too much information.... sorry...but I do love the slippers.   They are soft and they are cute and I'm so saving them for surgery but I sure was tempted to put them on tonight...but just had to stop myself.

The other stuff in the box was pretty nice, too.  I'm sure the next receipient will enjoy the box.  Putting something in is a difficult decision....since you don't know what someone will like.  Since you know what the 'big' thing in there was..... I liked it, but didn't need it.... and the 'thing in the box' would have been perfect and I thought about getting one of those when I was at the store the other day but didn't.... and the little box is really nice but not my style ..... but the slippers were perfect, so we'll see how the next person feels..... perhaps she'll be more gracious than I..... and behave a little better.

Oh posh Janet,
I dont think there is anyone alive that gets as excited as I do about packages in the mail. Heck I even get excited when a package comes that I have ordered...I always buy something that i would love to get and honestly I like everything...
well, just took my ambium and got to get up at 5:30 to go to Lincoln for the 2nd WLS reunion and do ALOT shopping....later all my 50 and over friends...Beth
