Linda,

I have a feeling that song is going to run in endless loops in my brain now.

So, today I'm moving Mom to the nursing home.  What a chore that will be.

Yesterday I took Mom to see her new doctor.  I never had a problem with her previous doctor, but I like this guy much more, and his nurse was wonderful with Mom.  I had talked to the previous doctor about Mom's dementia but he never suggested any medications for it.  The new guy picked up on the dementia immediately and suggested the Exelon patch (for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's dementia).  Unfortunately, Medicare won't pay for any Alzheimer's drugs, but we got a one-month supply of free samples and I want to give it a try.

B:  1 packet weight control oatmeal made w/ 2/3 c. skim milk, 1/2 banana, 1 tsp PB2
S: 6 oz yogurt
L:  2 oz steak, 2 oz lemon slaw
S:  1 oz cheese
D:  2 oz chicken livers, 2 oz celery root
S: 4 oz SF pudding

Good morning to you sweet one. I have missed not being on here for a few days. It helps to keep me accountable and I know that I need that. Some things never go away no matter what you do to get rid of them. Eating is one of them for me. At least I am not eating as much.

I am busy again today. I have to go into the church office and do my charge conference forms for pastor and then I would like to get my hair cut since it needs it so BADLY, then I have appointments for my year out of surgery. I got my labs done and today is the day to see how they are doing. I got a form sent to me from Darlene and I am going to get copies so I am able to fill that out and keep track of my own labs. I am very pro~active in my health and for some reason I never thought of doing that. What can I say.......at least I know now and that is the important thing.

Today is a day of running and the food is going to show it most of all at lunch time. I will make a good choice and stick to it.

B: sf maple and brown sugar oatmeal w/o milk
L: a small Wendy's chili
D: catfish and veggies Yes! I am cooking tonight some real food! Bill is going to jumping for joy let me tell you! He is tired of fast and easy and so am I!
S: not sure if there is one or not

I just wanted to tell you that I almost called you last night. I ran out of time to call because the debate came on and I wanted to watch that. I missed a lot of that one too just like I did the others. Go figure!

I am gong to be going. I have to get my meds and such before going to the office. I hope that your day is wonderful just like you and I am sending lots of love and plenty of hugs to go with it to you. I am keeping you and yours in my special prayers. Have a wonderful day and don't forget to smile!

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Thanks for singing to us this morning Linda,

Yesterday I took chicken out of the freezer for dinner. It didn't sound good. I felt like a steak. I called Tom to stop at the store on his way home because I just couldn't face the grocery store. That's not something I normally do, felt good.

My 'Mr. Chef Boy-Oh-Boy' asked me to cook the steak. He said I always complain when he cooks it. Yes I sure do. He broils it on low for about 30 minutes - more like baking than broiling. It ends up dry and tough.

4 baked potatoes (all for Tom), some green beans and the meal was perfect. Tonight we will have chicken. Cluck

Hi Linda and Friends - missed y'all yesterday.  Tummy issues have prevented me from eating anything solid yesterday and so far today.  Everything wants to make a repeat performance.  What I brought for lunch yesterday will go in the freezer here at work for next week.

Yesterday - 3 protein shakes, water, and a cup of tea.
Today - protein fruit flavored drink, cup of tea.  Will try a protein shake in a little while, maybe this evening I'll try a cracker or two.
