Hawiian Sister,

Thanks for being one of many who have supported and encouraged me and made me feel like it was going to be okay, when I experienced some of the many ups and downs this journey is full of.

Thank you for receiving my words from the true place they come, which is my heart.

I am truly loving my new life and know that so much more living is ahead.  I have faith that I will achieve what I have set out to do, which is to live a healthy life.  I am already, but I want size 10 and I do believe that is attainable, so yes, I will save this post, I am going to put it on my profile and in the book I am putting together for myself.

Much love from across an ocean and a continent, Laureen

Dearest Laureen,

You are pure JOY!! Congratulations for "successing" and being an inspiration to me. You have achieved more than mere weight loss in this past year, I firmly believe you have found the NEW YOU.

When I saw your post, I grabbed the tissues, knowing they would be needed. Sure enough, you got me all weepy with your brilliant writing. Laureen, you are a winner!

Kisses to you
Annette

Nettie, my big sister,

I certainly appreciate your thoughtful words and sorry you had to get the box of kleenex out, but I truly feel like I have so much to be thankful for today and every day, for what I've lived through and the experiences of the last year have brought me closer to the person I would like to be, but the work is never done and I cannot be happy unless I am doing what I love most, which is to, through my experiences, lend a hand to those who need it, some of which I get to do here and you are one of those examples, you have been an inspiration to many of us here, you've endured and come through so many challenges, brillantly with that shining love of life that just makes me wish we lived closer so I could run over and hug you often, guess I'll have to wait for another GTG. . .

So thanks for showing me how to be a big sister too!  Hugs and much love, Laureen

Judy,

Thank you for taking time to write me and I agree, Life does keep getting better and better and I have not given up, that was the days of old, today I intend to live the way of life I chose when I showed up at Barix on October 16, 2007. . .  so we are winners!

And Congratulations on your surgiversary tomorrow!

I am thrilled that Ohio has found you living a much happier and better life than you were having when first we met here, don't look back except to learn from the past, just keep moving forward with hope and joy!

Hugs and best wishes for whatever your desires are in life to be met, Laureen

Laureen,

You are my surgery sister! Well, one day difference. I have ALWAYS loved reading your posts and have just so LIKED you! I am soooo happy for you and I have experienced so many of the same things you talk about.
I often get tired just reading about all of your activities and admire all that you do and all you have done. I feel like a lazy butt when I read what you accomplish in a weekend.
I especially relate to what you said about not fitting in, the wobbling, the testing and more.
My wish is that someday I will get to go to one of the get togethers and meet you in person!
Love and thanks to you,
Cheryl
