I read the book.  Pam Wooddell sent it to me last year.  It was definitely interesting but so out of my $$$ league I couldn't even think about it at the time.

I'd love to get the boobs, thighs and batwings done but will have to settle for the LBL and maybe a little lipo.   I'm going to the med school here but the assisting professor is one of the top plastic surgeons so I'm pretty comfortable with the choice. 

You've certainly made a good decision.  Would love to see you.  We'll trade pictures.

Oh Janet...I am so glad to hear from you!! I read that you were scheduled for plastics next week.. You are certainly going to be in my thoughts and prayers!! 

This whole thing is so overwhelming...and it is definitely out of my $$$$$$$$$$ league, too!!  But I am so fortunate to have the guru of Plastics (TBL) here in town...15 minute drive and I really can't be out of commission for a long period of time more than once since my DS is still school age.  After my DH read the book, he agreed that I have to do this, so I can't think about the mula.   Dr. Hurwitz will be organizing a huge team which will include many from Pitt Med School where he teaches too.  Unfortunately, there is no reduction in cost. Doesn't seem fair...they should pay me since they are learning and watching/witnessing a PEEP show too! 

I would so LOVE to see you too my dear, but in the meantime, we can recover together!!!!  I misplaced your phone #, so if you wouldn't mind PM-ing it to me, and we can talk while high on morphine and wrapped tight like mummies!  Of course, you are going to have an awesome nurse helping you pre-op, so maybe I can fly to Dallas and hang on your couch and share your personal Florence Nightingale!!

You should have seen some of us sharing our before and after PS bodies in Dallas.  Within 15 minutes of meeting at the hotel, there were three of us showing off our scars.  My new "girls" were only 3 weeks old at the time.  I think I surprised everyone by whipping off my top, myself included.

I can't remember if I did that in Pittsburgh.  Probably.  The older I get, the less modest I am.  And it was all for science, of course.

Once you get past the post-op period, you're gonna love it!

I can only imagine the "show and tell" in Dallas...and no we didn't view the girls up close and personal in Pittsburgh.  However, you did share the photos and I was impressed!  And you shared the pix of your old eyes, too.  That was amazing!! 

Not sure if I will ever lose my inhibitions like you though, but I would be happy to share a few "flashes" for my sistahs if you come back to the 'Burgh or when we have the chance to get together again.  Actually Laureen was talking about something in the spring, and by that time, my TOTAL BODY LIFT should be all lifted and pretty healed, and who knows...maybe I will reveal it in a bathing suit...I am still not going to hold my breath about that....but I will consider it....have to get my money's worth!

Wish me luck, and can I call you for some post-op TLC when I get home?????????

Good for you to take this giant step to complete your WLS transformation.  Mental health is as important as physical health. I am very happy for you.

When you mentioned that you would "beg, borrow or steal", all I could think was : Send $100.00's instead of pennies.

You are too sweet Annette!!  Believe me, knowing my Dad, he'd pick up the tab!  Perhaps if I pray enough, he'll drop some big ones my way!  Lately the pennies have been accompanied by nickels...unfortunately by time they turn into big bills, my muffin top could be back!  Oh well, I think I will go count my pennies!
