all of my bear collection has been packed away so long- i miss 'em!!!!!

Another Monday. Hooray! Everyone is back to work and school. I'm back at the gym!
I have to go to the bank and make a Christmas deposit (thanks Mom), the PO to mail Christmas packages, the Commissary to restock the pantry and fridge after 3 days of 2 teenage grandsons here eating non-stop, get the car inspected, and take my DH out to lunch. It was his birthday yesterday.
I have to make labels for Christmas cards of friends and relatives that needed updated addresses, and update my address book for 2009. That may not get done until tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be nice all week long, so I am feeling very perky.
Company, we love to have them come, enjoy having them here, and are usually relieved when they leave!

Well, I have been very very bad these past few days. Haven't even been doing my treadmill. So up to that machine in a few and I am sure it will kick my patootie as I haven't done it for a while. My food has been not so hot either.
Tom is going to work...feeling better, much better than expected, so lucky lucky. Someone was watching over him that is for sure.
Glad to get back to work...gonna be crazy tho.
Kids both gone and feeling a bit sad....won't see my son till summer. Still feels weird after all this time not to be a big part of his life. I know it's normal but still weird...wish he lived closer...

I'll be cleaning house this week in preparation for a basket guild Christmas party at my house next Saturday. I was trying to put it off for a week or so, but realized half the house doesn't look too bad and just needs a tidying and sweeping. The rest needs cleaning but can get it done in a few evenings of work I think. Have the decorations down and will do that too, Hey-Whatever works right? Otherwise not much new for me. These past 5 days off surely seemed to go way too fast! Have a great Monday all!

I developed one heck of a head cold on the weekend, and I had so much that I wanted to accomplish!! Needless to say, I didn't reach many of my goals. I'm still putting together a test that my students will write this afternoon. I'm 99% done the test, so it could be worse.
Creena is not bouncing back as I hoped she would. She is very lethargic and eats very, very little. She was the runt of her litter and experienced health problems that the other puppies didn't. I wonder if her immune system is compromised by all of her health issues. I've been with her all weekend and I have to leave her for the day soon. I'll hurry back after the test to make sure she is alright.
Connie - enjoy every minute and don't worry about the future. There is a small book called "The Power of Now" that I have. Every now and then, I have to go get it or the CDs out to remind myself that today is all that I have and that I need to be in "the now" rather than wondering/worrying about what's to come. I know that it's difficult to do, but you seem to be having such a wonderful time with your friend that I wouldn't want you to miss out on each moment.
Well, I have to get back to the test, take a shower, feed the dogs and get on my way. Have a wonderful day.

It's 60 degrees out !
It was a busy holiday weekend here too. It's been raining since Saturday evening and today it's semi sunny with chances for more rain. UGH hard to get the decorations up outdoors ....we planned to get everything pulled out of the attic and garage yesterday but it was too wet, cold and gloomy. So we'll work on it evenings this week.
On Saturday Mrs Santa and Elf Johnny made an appearance at the Childrens Holiday Party at the museum ... it was fun but exhausting. We'll be making one more appearance at another gathering this coming Sunday.
I just finished a 6 day Medrol pack (Methyl Prednisonolone) for the arthritis in my knees and shoulders. Saw the ortho dr last week. He said we'd try this and if it doesn't do as we hope then it'll be one more arthoscope on the (right) knee and therapy etc. then the next step is a replacement. Geeeez... I just get some things working half ways decent then the joints gotta go and wear out ... that's what carrying around an extra human on me for so many years earned me
Tomorrow is crafts after I go do labs, Wed is a workshop with the garden club- making wreaths for the local businesses, and then boxwood trees for ourselves. I have all day Thursday to myself and then we're pouring the wine at the museum at that nights' event . I see my endocrine dr on Friday.

morning carla and OFF family....man i missed being with you all over the holiday weekend...i worked my tail off and man i am sooo glad i have today off!!! thought i had tuesday off but looked again and its today i am off...wooohoooo had christmas party at work last night...had a catered dinner...yuck they had chicken breast, carved beef and some kind of pasta...some green beans, corn and salad and rolls...yippeee all tasted crappy to me...oh well...it was free thank goodness!!! oh they had cake and cookies and brownines for dessert...another yippeee...sighs...not sure what my problem is last few days...it all started thanksgiving morning...got into a huge fight with rick and it went from bad to worse over next couple days...everything is fine now with us but man what a fight!!! spent thanksgiving day shut in bedroom (alone) with bandit and just plain pissed to the nines is all...worked friday and glad i didn't have to be there early....what a mad house!!!! worked saturday also and was busy yet again...so was sunday...glad i am off today!!!!
talked to my mom last night and asked if any news on gary...she said he had a bad time a couple days ago...guess he pulled or tried to pull his iv lines out and they had to restrain him...think that was thanksgiving he did that...heard his precious daughter lori came home crying...wonder how she thinks i was back in '96 when i was there ALONE the whole time of his surgery and his recovery?? guess they are finding out now how it was for me...stressful you bet!!! i still wish him the best on getting better but for his kids and family...i could care less...i know shame on me but its how i feel about them now...
also talked to mom about coming home weekend after christmas...even if i have to spend money on a motel room which i can't afford...she is excited about seeing me again...my older brother came home and he wanted to talk to me...omg he actually misses me!!!! (he is the one that said i was "stupid" for moving away) he is also looking forward to seeing me and said he is glad i made the move and am happy with rick!!!! WOW!!!!! he is having problems with his right knee...said knee is totally gone...knee replacement... not sure what is gonna happen...also wearing a neck brace something about his neck is out of whack?? had a cat scan on it and now has to do some kind of therapy on it starting this week i guess...also needs a biopsy on his prostate and is worried about that...so again asking for your prayers for him...thanks so much!!!
weather here is chilly...another lake effec****ch is out for tonight until tomorrow...could see 2-4 inches of wet snow...yeah i will believe it when i see it happening here...lol its snowing some now...apartment complex still hasn't cleaned all the leaves up and those leaves are slippery when wet!! i almost fell several times while out with bandit!!! might have to mention it to the manager...but she is an air-head!!! went in to pay the rent friday morning and she has a new puppy...its a sheltie my guess its about 10 weeks old...omg its so mean already!!!!! came charging at me growling and barking and just plain aggressive!!!! hope she knows enough to stop it now and not think its "cute" for it to do that!!!!!
well i am just plain depressed i guess so i am gonna move on out of here...just wanted to update you on how my last few days have been...
