This is on my 12 year old step daughters thigh... it has been there about a week, and she just now told us about it.

Marc, I must say that I agree with both Shelia and Darlene. It does look like ringworm sort of. My kids used to get them and I would put a cup of clorox in a pint of water and dap that on it. Old folks used to do it and it would go away. On the other hand I must say that it also reminds me of a skin cancer that my friend had. I think that until you know what it is don't put anything on it!!! See the doctor.

does resemble ring worm,,, do you have cats or has there been a stray cat around lately? but like Darlene says we arent doctors so i would take her to the doctor also.
