I'm a little irritated.
The nurse starts giving me the old lecture about eating too fast and do you have children? I knew she was going to tell me to start using a baby spoon. I said wait... I know the pain of eating too fast and this isn't it. I said I do have some pain when I'm not eating. I told her the pain woke me up in the middle of the night the other night. She was really short when I told her I didn't think it was from eating too fast. I have some clue about what's going on, I'm not a total idiot. Grrrr... and it's my own fault... I should have been more pushy about the kind of pain I was having yesterday which was really bad and NOT from eating too fast. Maybe by the time I go in next week it will be gone and then I can look really stupid. Ugh!
you have to WAIT TIL NEXT WEEK TO SEE THE DR ON THIS PAIN???? oh you call them back and tell them this pain CAN'T wait til NEXT WEEK!!! are you sure it was the nurse that you talked to or the receptionist?? is this the dr's office that did your surgery?? please call them back now and make them get you in NOW!!! keep us posted please...
hugs
maybe its a stricture?? wonder if that ever crossed her mind? i would call them back and ask to speak to the dr this time if possible...just seems like this nurse isn't interested in your care after surgery!!! i would let this dr know how you were treated by her!! and YES please go to ER if this office doesn't help you NOW!
have to go to work soon so please don't wait if you get this pain again...something just doesn't sound right to me.
hugs
We have to be our own self advocates. That may mean getting stern and demanding that the professionals hear what we are saying.
Your pain could be nothing or it could be a whole slew of problems. If it gets worse, you begin to run a fever, or just plain can't tolerate the pain - go to the ER.
