IT's THURSDAY - Where's Eileen? WHAT'S NEW WITH YOU?

I've been waiting for Eileen to start the thread and she just hasn't, so here we go.

Things are alright.  Or as alright as can be expected.  It's is cold here in the Big D this morning.  35 or so.  We don't do cold here. 

Tonight is my Friday at the full time job.  No OT this weekend, so there will be some time to catch up on TV.  I hope.

had a quiet evening-michael was preoccupied all afternoon and nite so i just kinda did my thing and it was nice!(not sure i should admit it aloud -i could get used to that!)  tho "it" was simply to take a nap with the dogs and then to knit....

fininshed gloria's scarf-YAY!!! and ripped out a hat so i could have the loom- started a neck warmer for my mom to match her hat and ended up ripping her hat out --with the looms, you use two strands of yarn-well; i knitted her hat with two strands of the same yarn and then started the warmer with the main yarn and another complimentary color--but not enough of the main yarn to go the full distance- so--brainstorm-the hat was out of the main yarn----about an hour later; i was knitting again!! will finish the warmer then make a new hat and they will match perfectly!!!

have a set to make for my nephew tho i am thinking he may only get a hat..at his age i am not sure he would wear a scarf.....and the oldest granddaughter's set which i need to get her yarn for- she picked out a really pretty boucle and a fun fur to go with it so i am stuck! .............the pompoms and fringe and i am done!!!!!!!!!!!

today is just work and more knitting i guess....making up an extensive grocery list for some shopping tomorrow nite.....tomorrow is my last (hopefully/prayerfully!!!!!) small paycheck.....

have to find my small ornaments for our tree-decided with the dogs and the bird stands that the living room couldn't handle my large tree--and i have a beautiful collection of smaller ornaments(some antique) -tho i have no clue where they are so i am sure they are in the garage!get them out and the nativity out......

dull life, eh??i love it!!!! didn't play into the drama yesterday and don't plan on it today!

The reason I mentioned Eileen is it is Thursday and she always checks her bank deposit on Thursday (as do I) because of payday.

oh i know!! that's what i mean!!! i hope that she is ok and that she simply fell asleep!!!!!!

HI George and Everyone,

A quick "fly by" this morning.  Got up early for some reason.  I went to bed early last night being tired from Christmas decorating.  Did it all by myself with hubby merely watching and offering an opinion on occasion.  All the activity helped me lose a pound!  Hooray as it's been a while......  Going to have to volunteer to decorate everyone's place if it's a weight loss possibility.

Going to stick a scarf I crocheted in the mail for my son-in-law.  It's been pretty cold in the morninings where he is and he walks to work.  My daughter thought he would use it after seeing the few I sent to her.  We'll see.  Glad to do it.

Hubby's colonoscopy went well yesterday.  They found some polyps and biopsied but don't expect to find anything.  He was pretty tired afterwards and rested the better part of the day.  Hunger was his worst complaint from the whole thing and we quickly fixed that as soon as we got home.  He's a good sport so he took it all in stride.

Have a great day everyone.  I'm off to work to get caught up on e-mails and such.  I'm sure they are waiting for me.

I met Mary and Melanie at the gym to watch Melanie's gymnastics class. Melanie clung to me like a monkey baby . She didn't know I was going to be there to observe. I miss the days when I was out on the floor and participating with her. We sure had fun bouncing on the trampoline.

On Saturday, just Mary and I are going out for lunch. A couple of month ago we had a talk and decided it has been too long since the two of us spent time away from the kids, husbands and other distractions. We are trying to have a Mom/daughter lunch every month. That feels good.

Two women in the support group had WLS on Tuesday and I visited them yesterday. One was up, perky and looked wonerful. As the nurse was doing routine checks, we gabbed. The nurse looked at me and said "you must have had WLS too. I can tell by your conversation." I guess we speak a special language.

The other woman was still in ICU waiting for a bed on the floor. Our surgeon uses the ICU for all people who use a CPAP machinne for the first 24 hours. She wasn't so perky because she had an allergic reaction to the pain meds. Itchy hives were making her miserable.

It is extra quiet around here. Where is everyone?

i miss the days of lunch and shopping with my daughter...give mary a hug for auntie margo!!!!!

well good morning george and all you posting pros

i never have so much to say, my posts are always so short, wonder what that means

work is ugly this week, the boss is going thru one of his nutty periods, we are all trying to just hide and do our work

im working up the energy to decorate for holidays, i guess this weekend i will have to do it, did get the wreath up on the door though, that was easy ha ha

the good news is that im working on getting a few turkey day pounds off, and the scale did move downward this morning, so i feel a little better about that.  i was really stressed out after coming home from vacation with my son.

anyway, hope everyone has a good day, im off to shower and go to work now, wellll, as soon as i finish my coffee and read a few more posts
