Mouthwater Monday's topic is Holiday Breads
We always had a tradition in my family and from the sounds of it most families did and that is some kind of bread that was made for the holidays. In my family my mom would make Brown Bread and man was it good. She would make big cans of it every year and share it with everyone. They all seemed to look forward to Juanita's Brown Bread coming too. I haven't made it but I think that I might try to do it this year since I feel like it.
Please share one bread recipe from your traditions and post it this coming Monday for all of to share in. The holidays are heaped full of tradition and it seem as we get older tradition means more to us. Or at least it does to me.
If I can find it I am going to post my moms Brown Bread and let everyone in on the good stuff! So get out your recipe books and find the old ones that your family shared and what helped to make your holidays such memorable ones.

Pat, the brown bread that my mom use to make is made with raisins. It is so good and I am hoping that I find the recipe for it. It is made in vegetable cans and bigger cans like the ones that tomatoes and fruit came in. Please make sure you post it if you can find it. It would be fun to compare them. It doesn't make a difference if they are the same thing or not. That is the fun of the thread.
I am sending big hi's back to you and sending love and hugs to you too.
