Linda,

I have an appt with my bariatric surgeon today and am hoping to get all or at least part of my fill back.  Since my big unfill 3 weeks ago, I've gained 6 lbs because I can eat anything, in any amount, am constantly hungry and constantly obsessing about food.  Just like I didn't have a band at all.  Which sure makes me appreciate how much my (filled) band had been doing for me.

The last time I saw my mom, she talked nonsense the entire time, but she was cheerful and smiling.  And she likes to hold my hand while we "chat", which is nice, since she was never an affectionate person before.

B: weight control oatmeal made w/ skim milk, banana, and PB2
S: iced skinny latte
L: Dijon shrimp, sesame green beans
S: yogurt
D: pea soup (if I get a fill) or black-eyed pea cakes (if I don't get a fill)
S: SF pudding

Hiya Jean,I am glad you are getting some of your fil back, the holiday season is no time to test the waters, for sure. When do you start your new job?
Starting a new job is another anxiety that can affect your eating,it is a stress starter also.
I am happy to hear that your mom is at least in good spirits.
You take care, and be good to yourself.

Linda,

I don't know exactly when the new job starts - that will depend on how soon they need a substitute teacher and get to my name on the list.

Linda,
It is 10 miseable degrees here. Too cold. Send me some of your dragon heat.

I found out the hard way that I NEED to eat. We got up around 4:00 AM, and I got busy wrapping gifts to mail. I got all *****y and crabby, my usual attitude trying to wrap with the help of the 8 cats. Then got shakey, sweaty and light-headed. It was hard to concentrate and plop some cottage cheese in a bowl.

All better now. I won't wait so long for meals again.

B- cottage cheese
L - salad with ham & colby cheese
D - chicken with peppers, onions and chili tomatoes
S - apple & peanut butter

Hi sis! You do have to watch that blood sugar thing. Tom does not need to come home to your being passed out and licked to death by cats!
I wish I could send you some heat,we have so much here. I do not miss the cold, and probably could not walk at all, with cold and humidity...
Your dinner looks yummy. Please be good, and do it the way your cats think is best,I hear they are experts at gift wrapping...
Hugs and much love.

WOW....  interesting how we are struggling with our food.... especially at this time of the year.

I have an appointment with the nutritionist today....  My eating is so out of control and my blood sugar drops too low even after I have just eaten.   I  need to get a refresher course for this.  It will be a month before I can see my doctor unless I call and talk to his nurse.  I will be calling this morning first thing,

My sleep pattern is messed up too.  I'm sleepy during the day, but have a hard time staying asleep at night,         ain't life grand....  sheesh

it's a good thing we have this board to help each other through the tough times.  I find this year I'm really lonely.  Mom is at my sister's and is needed there.  I rattle around the apt. and end up in the kitchen all too often.  sigh..

Chin up,,,,, and  Carry On

Hi Millie,I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. I hope you get your balance back. I understand your missing your mom, good thing you have other things you can with your hands and are so creative.
Please tell us what the doctor's nurse says about this.
Many times, the nurse is even better than the doctors.
Will you be starting a new project soon?
Has your sleep been this bad before??
Take care, and by all means keep that chin up,and pat yourself on the back for getting immediate help.
Take care!

Hey Y'all and grateful Monday morning to ya,

Can't believe the weekend is gone already.  Attended a nice birthday luncheon for my friend Maren on Saturday but had a few sips of a mimosa without ill effects.  Lots of good conversation, laughs and love there.

My friend Gil came over yesterday with DVDs so I built a fire in the woodstove and we snuggled the afternoon away.  Very nice.  Managed to get a few chores and laundry done over the short weekend as well.  Haven't been able to find my property tax bill though and need to call them today to avoid late payment penalties.

Haven't thought much about this week's food but will put some effort into that today.  That's why I seek out this thread.  It keeps me on track.  Thanks, Linda

B coffee/yogurt
s protein wafer
L steak/tomatos
s cheese stick/orange protein nectar
D TJ's crustless quiche

Love, light and laughter, CV Linda

Hiya Linda, snuggling is a definite upper, good for you! I hope you find your tax bill, and make sure you write down whom you talked to,and when,if you do not.
It is good to get what we need, and right now,a lot of us need a little sanity.
You sound great, like you are in a good place.
A good menu like your's certainly keeps that dragon at bay.
Blessed be.
