Good morning all. AWell I had my kidney stone blasted yesterday. It was not as easy as everyone made it out to be. Also I may have to do it again as the stone was so big
he couldn't get it all. He also put in a stent(?). Only time will tell.

At least I got to spend time with 3 of my grandkids. The oldest turned 10 last week & Sat was her party. Sat. night we went to a Griffins game, local hockey team. The mascot delivered one dozen roses to her & it was announced on the speaker & shown on the big TV. What a special night for her! I will try to post a picture later today.
I hope you all have a great day!

Nan, I am so sorry that the blasting wasn't as good for you. I know that it is rough but so worth the other options.

When I had mine blasted earlier this year my stone got blasted the first time it wa**** I was a lucky one and the doctor said that as long as he had been doing this he never had one crumble on the first time hit.

I had the stent with the first one that I had to have taken out. Those things are murder. I told the doctor that I can only liken it to sitting on a stick. He laughed and said that is just about what it is for a woman.

My prayers go with you and know that things will get better.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Good morning, ya'll.  Another lovely day in paradise.  Warmer this morning, and the rest of the week.

Our Onslow County WLS get together is tonight.  I am looking forward to that.  I love to see the progress everyone has made.  Including being able to maintain their weight loss month to month!  And tonight there will be GIFTS!

I offered to host our annual neighbor/friend Christmas party this year.  Everyone will be contributing finger foods to eat.  It is Dec. 20th.  So of course, I am making lists and planning!  I am sooo anal!  We have 22 exchanging gifts, including 2 boys under 10 and 6 teenagers, so it will be a lively bunch!  I told my daughter that now I will be forced to clean my house.  She said why bother, I'll have to clean it the next day anyway.  HMMM, she may have a point!

Have a fantabulous day and stay warm!

Morning all.........
I actually slept in "sort of" this morning, I was actually awake at 3 a.m. to a noise coming from the basement, found out it was the water softner trying to recharge and I think it's out of salt....have to call Culligan this morning to see if we're on the list for a refill soon, so I went potty/ got a drink and tried to go back to sleep.
Finally did drift off and when I woke again it was after 6:45.....that's late for me!

So I have striped the bed clothes and they are in the washer.....like to let the bed air out some before I remake it....also washing Fluffy's blanket as it gets used a lot and collects fur.

It's warm here this morning, and a lot of the snow has melted.  We lucked out and didn't get the freezing rain that was forecasted, but may get rain/snow mix today.
Had a finance committee meeting at church last nite that lasted almost 2 hrs....much longer than usual.  Lots to talk about this month.

Eileen, I think you need to stop giving Diva the treats.
Just keep her on the bland food and see what happens.
Isn't her original Momma coming to get her?  Is she taking care of the others this coming weekend for you?
I just couldn't handle cleaning up all those messes, I get upset when Fluffy spits up cause it's usually on the carpet and hard to clean w/o staining, besides it hurts my hip replacement to have to bend down that far.

Took the Michigan Brown Bread to work yesterday, since I didn't go to the party Saturday nite, and two people asked for the recipe.....it's on Mouthwatering
Monday from yesterday.  Think I better freeze the other loaf as it is calling me and I sure don't need to eat it.

Walked yesterday afternoon after the Dr. visit.....made my 8 laps and will try for 9 laps tomorrow.  Today I do the recumbent bike and lift weights here at home.
PCP upped my synthroid to .125.....he says the Cytomel is for people who are depressed and I don't need it.  We also looked at the pics of the endoscopy.....yikes that was gross.   My pouch is stretched a little to the right side but not too much.  I weighed the same as when I saw him in late October.....at least I didn't gain anything!

Well better get going with today's schedule.  Don't forget to post if you receive your ornament.....it's fun reading all about them.

Adios for now,
Pat R.

Well, Pat, I did that for awhile, gave her the bland food without the treats, and she was still pooping and had diarrhea. I'm going to cut out the treats again tonight, I think. I was giving them canned food with chicken and rice mixed in and that wasn't working.

My cleaning lady and her kids are going to take care of the cats this weekend. Diva won't be going to her old mommy until Dec. 21, right before I go into the hospital.

Hi Vera,

Nice to see your smiling face bright and early this a.m.

Just a quick "drive by" hello before I dash out the door.  Dang....been awake since 4:10 when Gary's weather alarm went off....no worries, darn thing needs batteries AGH!!!!!  Anyway, up for nearly three hours and I'm rushing. Have an 11 hour day at work, but a big gap in the day when I'll go check on dear DIL.

Everyone please say a prayer for her. She's in surgery right now. I took her to her pre-op appt yesterday and she just fell apart on me. Poor thing.  Making the decision to change ones body is one thing, having someone make the decision for you is another.

Everyone take care and know I love ya!

Susan

Good Morning Vera and OFF!
well, the party turned out smashingly wonderful on Saturday.  It was a nice time, we have a wonderful group of basket weavers in it!
Yesterday was quiet and today is quiet at work also.  Soon we will be exceedingly busy, but right now kind of in a lull.
Marc so glad you were able to work all day and feel better drugged.  They say better living thru chemistry!
Eileen, poor Diva and poor you!  I can't imagine what is going on in her little brain....unfortunately you know I can what is going on in yours!  I had a cat that for 13 years never used the litter box appropriately!  The last few she thought the couch was her littler box.....ewwwww.
Susan, hope all goes well for you DIL.  when one thing strikes another does too it seems.
Margo, what can I say?
Darlene, don't feel guilty about writing in about YOU!  Heavens, is that what this forum is all about?
Had my yearly studies done last week mammorgarm and dexa scan.  Mamms are fine, dexa not so much.  seems my back that was low to begin with in 2000 when I had the baseline study done has dropped 7% in 8 years.  Hmmm.  Hips were good before (2006) but now down again too. Moderate osteopenia in back area. I figureed something was going on there and kind ofknew what it probaly was but can nver remember to take the dang pill
Oh well, that news is better then the dream I had this morning - that I was pregnant!  Now where in the heck did that come from?  HA, no parts and no lovin!  Geeesh!  IF I ever find a man I will have to send them to George and Marc to make sure they approve before getting serious.
I did get the tree up in the living room.  It looks pretty nice, still have to decorate it, just has the lights on it so far,  (came that way!  how cool, 3 parts all fit together in the holder zip zaop and you're done!
Tonight I have a Planned pethood board meeting, I did stop and get a little shopping done ysterday.  Now figure I have some baskets to make so should get busy on them.  this week is nutsy again too.  Board tonight, web site meeting Thursday evening and a Christmas party on Friday.
Well, going to go get a cup of tea and get some caffeine into me.  Have a great day all!

It is good to see you Vera. Thanks for getting us moving.

I sat reading the thread about dating - too funny! It is good that we have a "safe place" to talk about our thoughts & fears.

We had an energy audit on the house. OUCHIES!!!!!! I think it might be more cost effective to bulldoze the whole structure and start from scratch.  We have done several renovations over the years but it is time to do a ton ($$$$) more. The changes are all geared to make the house energy efficient.

Oh how I hate the thought of construction crews in the house. The mess, the noise, the cats going nuts, oh boy, it won't be pleasant.

Kisses
Annette
