What's Going on For Friday ? ? ?
It's 1:46 PST and there is not Friday thread going? Oh My... I get to be first? Where are you George? Eileen ?
Today I plan on sewing... as usual. Most of my Christmas gifts are done. I have several extra gifts to do.
Did I mention my oldest son is home for 2 weeks leave from Iraq? It was quite the last minute surprise. He came in on Sunday and will be able to stay until Dec 23. We are very excited about it.
My Mom is still across the state in Spokane helping with my sister who has been hospitalized with blood clots. She had an infection last month and now is having to get treatment for the clots. She should be home tomorrow if all the test come back OK. I've been on my own here the past months and it was fine in the beginning but now I get lonely. sigh never happy... lol
I hope I can get sleepy soon. Maybe I'll play cards on line for a while.

I was just giving someone else a chance to start the thread. I had some work to do (very little) and I was milking it.
Hope you enjoy your visit with your son.
We got our car back. It cost me $700 including towing, car rental, deductable, and non-covered repairs. Easy come, easy go.
So, is everyone done with their Christmas shopping? I finished mine up today. Mary finished hers for me. I have had a couple of my presents for a while now. My XM radio and my Rangers season tickets. So, I am not expecting much. But I was good to her.

its still raining in New Jersey, we have had non stop rain for a day and a half already.
well at least its not snow, which is good for me. while its pretty to look at, i dont like driving or walking in the snow, always afraid ill fall or some crazy driver will skid into me.
the holiday shopping is basically done, although i do need something for my sister yet. never know what to get for her.
the next thing i have to work out is what to cook for holiday dinner. sometimes i know, but so far this year i have no clue what i want to make.

Good morning everyone. I know I have not been posting regularly. It doesn't mean that you aren't in my heart and thooughts eaach and every day,
I'd like to say I had a good week this week, but I can't. Tuesday was 2 months since Norronda died. That day really was hard. I also learned that a close friend and co-worker was given a final diagnosis. Sadly, she passed yesterday. I will miss this sweet soul. She touched the lives of so many people. She was also one of my greatest supporters as I entered into my wl journey.
I am back on track with my diet. I have dropped the 10 lbs I put on in October. I am staying away from the office treats. Luckily, they are down the hall. Out of sight- out of mind.

I'm so sorry about your friend.....we pray she is safe in God's arms now.

Aime i read such sadness in your post that i made me want to cry also. but sweet heart i know you miss Norronda but you have part of her still in your life in her son. He is and always will be a beautiful reminder of her. The grief you are feeling will change one day soon and turn into loving memories. I am praying for you and your son and precious grandson. when you feel sad for his mommie, give him an exta hug and tell him how much you love him.....

It is going to take time for the grief you are feeling for N to get better. You are of course going to have good and bad days but as time goes on there is going to be more good than bad. Please know that we are here for you when you need us. It is still early in the grieving process and so you do have some more to go through and know that it does get better with time. Time here is one of the magic healers.
I am so sorry to hear of your friends passing. Know that she is in such a better place. I know that isn't going to help right now but in time you will truly know that. You might agree right now but in your heart of hearts you really want her to be here and a part of your life. That is totally understandable and most human.
