What's Going on For Friday ? ? ?
hello! millie-thanx for starting us today--and special hugs and thanks to your son--please love on him for all of us!!! tuff job-you can do it!!!!
i told you all a few days ago that i didn't feel well- well-i am still home- i must go back monday or i won't have a job...today i slept til 1130! i am thinking part is stress tho some was general uckas...
it is so good to see aime pop in!! always in my prayers --jan c said it so well about N and baby paul....

george-wow-mary did a wonderful job on the Christmas cards! very labor intensive! very pretty! i am not sure if our cards will get out before Christmas-best laid plans ya know!
speaking of cards-my DIL and her mom always make their cards and they are both quite talented- this years' card from my son and DIL is black....very odd to me-but tastefully done--hmmm....
well; michael now owns his own computer-have no clue what i have to do -or how much $$- to get him online- i just am flabbergasted about the whole thing--he got it cheap and it looks good- we shall see.... he is making himself a mini apt almost in the basement-has a couch and a tv -actually 3 of them right now( thru freecycle-2 will go back on the boards) and a desk and now a computer--maybe he is trying to tell me something??? i can only wish some days!!
today is plasma and i think i may call and see if we can go early--that way we get home before dark....
i am going to frost the top of my head tonite-my roots have grown out so far that i could actually cut my hair off and have all natural again--but i don't wanna go short in the winter-tho i loved the idea of au natural..really sorry that i had anything done to it colorwise.......so i bought a frosting cap and stuff-can do it by myself....
tomorrow i have a luncheon to attend and i almost wish i hadn't said that i would go/drive--but it will be enjoyable--debbie- it's over by franklin park and i detest that area to drive -with a passion!actually i think i just wanna pull into my cave for winter....yea-that's it!!!
have just a few gifts to buy-not spending much on anybody-and a few packages to get mailed out--cards if i ever get them addressed and signed! hey-i bought the stamps! still one complete hat/scarf set to knit -still can't find all of the yarn for it-and then i still need to fringe the scarves-have gotten nothing done the last few nites-discipline is an issue for me!!! or attention span....
eileen- be safe on your driving to chicago and please lavish hugs on paulette and brenda....

Hi Millie and my OFF family:
I am so busy, but here I am talking to Brenda and reading the board. At least I have my last presents bought and some laundry in the washer. I want to make a batch of cookies but have to let the butter soften first. Maybe I'll get one batch made and some protein balls. I wanted to be able to get some made to take to my Aunt Bernice, who can't have anything too hard (she's 90). I thought these cookies would be chewy enough for her.
I had to run out this morning to get one last gift for my grandnephew Sam; didn't get what I was looking for at Michaels (what was advertised on sale wasn't there), but I got something kind of nice ... a set of washable coloring markers plus a roll of coloring paper that has drawings on it. He's 4 and likes to do arts and crafts type things. I thought this would be nice. I really didn't spend very much on him at all, less than $15, much less than his older brother, Ben, who's 8.
Then I had to run to Walgreens for something I forgot yesterday, then to mail out a package. Finished with about $25. Hope that gets me to Chicago and back. Luckily, gas is cheaper. Can't wait to see my friends and family. Have so much to do, so why am I playing around on the board? Because I miss my OFF family! Well, I need to get going.

I quit my job!!!!! I got tired of the new manager thinking he was king and we have to bow down to him!!!!!!
I had a job interview at Great Clips and I am sure they are going to offer me a position. I only want to work parttime.
I am having my Thyroid removed or part of it. It is going to be done on the 23rd. Not such a nice day as that is the day my mother died 44 years ago.
Other than that I am doing very well.

Offering prayers for your thyroid surgery. My cousin had hers removed and is doing fine....you'll no doubt be on some type of thyroid meds for the duration, at least she is. Hope everything goes well......keep us informed.

Wow, Carla, that's quite a big step, to quit like that. Wish I could do that. Although I like my job, just not all the crap I have to put up with sometimes.
You're having your surgery the day after mine. My brother had his thyroid removed and is doing fine nearly nine years later. His was so huge he couldn't get the right size shirt. He did just fine and I'm sure you will, too.
