Speaking of spinach.....I made the most scrumptious spinach salad for my DS's birthday dinner yesterday.   Baby spinach, mandarin oranges, slivered almonds, and a few bacon bits, drizzled with a warm home made poppy seed dressing.....everyone ate two bowls of it, dang, I was hoping for left overs!!!!!

Hugs,
Pat R.

Linda,

My weekend confession is that I ate a piece of shortbread at church yesterday.  Every week members bring goodies to eat after the worship service.  I would like to say that the 80-yr-old guy who made this shortbread forced it into my mouth, but that's not actually what happened.  What happened was, he politely offered it to me and I greedily grabbed it.  It was so good.  Oh well, I'm over it.

B: eggbeater omelette w/ veggies & cheese
S: iced skinny latte
L: tofu, ginger-soy turnips
S: protein bar
D: steak, mushrooms au gratin
S: SF pudding

Since having my band unfilled recently, I discovered that I can eat omelettes and scrambled eggs again.  What a treat!

Good morning everyone and happy Monday,

My weekend was equally productive and slug lazy.  Got some decorations up, cleaned the wood stove, made a list and checked it twice, wrote out a Christmas shopping list for the ones I haven't covered yet (better late than never).  Then watched movies while the rain poured down and the fire kept me cozy.  And burned CDs during the commercials of Sista Monica and her blues band doing gospel music, part of the gift I'm giving to the Real Love ladies.  Today I post receivables all day then hit a couple of stores and the bank after work.

Received a beautiful power point presentation that I would attach if I knew how.  Please search for Christmas Blessings PPS on the web.  It is a wonderful reminder to count your blessings.

B coffee/protein wafer

Hi Linda,

I did my hair dying on Friday evening.  Guess we'll both be gorgous for the holidays.  The love ladies formed when Greg Baer spoke at our church.  He had written a book called Real Love, a relationship book about how to love your people unconditionally.  First you must feel unconditional love in yourself and the way to get that is to reveal the deep, dark truths about yourself and realize that your people love you in spite of your perceived faults, sometimes because of them.

So I joined what was essentially a book group with eight other women.  We would meet and practice telling our secrets and loving each other unconditionally.  The group has grown into a special friendship with accomplished, interesting and loving women.  We attend music events, have house parties and generally support each other.  They continue to be a blessing in my life for which I am thankful.

Snuggles, CV Linda
