Aloha dear OFF sister from far far away,

I have read all the posts and my mood changed from profound sadness to a powerful sense of hope and good possibilities for you. See how many of our sisters have faced this monster and are cancer free now.....it is so uplifting. You are a strong woman.......and I predict you will be back with a story to inspire all of us.

If sending you a big hug can help in any way....here it comes!!

With so much aloha,

Maui Karen

Hi Carla  -  just one more OFF sister letting you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.  I, too, have had cancer as have my two sisters - all breast cancer.  One of us was diagnosed 25 years ago, and one sister and I were diagnosed 4.5 years ago.  We are still around and healthy.  (my brother had thyroid cancer and is doing very well - he's healthy!) We try to live with as little drama in our lives as possible, and affirmations have become very important to us.  One of my affirmations is "my body is disease free".   I say this when I'm walking my dogs or at any time when I think of it.  This is a link to a page with healing affirmations.   http://www.healingcancernaturally.com/healing-affirmations.html#Healing_Affirmations

You can beat this thing, my friend.  Let them take that troublesome thyroid. You don't really need it anyway.

Carla,

No one ever wants to hear the "C" word and I can't even imagine how you must be feeling right now, but I wanted to say that I will be praying and sending out positive thoughts for you and hopefully from what I hear, this cancer is one that is very slow and beatable, so I'm betting that 2009 finds you cancer free and in the best possible health ever!!!

Hugs, prayers and positive thoughts, Laureen

Carla,

I'm so sorry to read your news today.  One hellova way to start off the new year.  I have a dear friend who also had thyroid cancer.  She was treated and is cancer free now, and has been for about 8 years.  I know this must be a scary time for you.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Huggs,

Cara

Hi Carla,

Sorry this is late coming, seems everyone has said everything I could say, and more. You may have cancer, but you also have a strong support system, a loving family, and over all good health. All the things it takes to kick this!

I know it must be a very scary time for you, but finding the positives in you life will help to off set the negatives.

All my love and prayers go out to you. You WILL defeat this!

Susan

Carla,

I don't get on the boards much this days and when I do I am usually just a lurker.  I am so glad I got on today so I can can keep  you in my thoughts and prayers and to tell you what all the others did      KICK ASS!  Don't hold in your feelings, let them out and find the best doctors you can.  I know in my heart you are going to do fine in this new battle!

Lots of Love,

Carla, I'm sorry to be responding so late to this.  I'm just now catching up with some of the posts after being gone last week.  Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  As others have said, stay positive.  We're all here to support you.
