Words of Wisdom
Found this on another website and thought it was important and would share
Remember being thin doesn't solve all our problems it's what on the inside.
You are amazing and remember God created us in HIS image, that means no junk!!!
1. Make at least one life altering resolution.
2. Plan, prepare, be prayerful, patient, passionate and persistent.
3, Isolation and pride breeds doubt and procrastination. Take advantage of the power of accountability.
4. Avoid wishful thinking, excuses, blame and pity parties. Let go of the woulda, coulda and shoulda.
5. You can't do it alone. Work on building your networking skills, relationships, mentoring, and professional alliances.
6. Write your goals down and keep them visible (out of sight, out of mind).
7. What's important to you this new year? Don't make promises or unrealistic goals to impress others.
8. Avail yourself to opportunities to grow outside of your comfort zone.
9. Develop your faith, confidence, skills and education so you can seize opportunities and endure adversity.
10. Be discerning about who you share your goals with.
11. Only the strong survive. Stuff happens. Be flexible and resilient.
Don't let any thing or any one steal your dreams, faith, joy, purpose or sense of humor.
12. Grow and go for your goals with determination and faith.
Let your light shine in 2009!

Hi, My name is Sharon and this is my first time on this board. I am 55 and my surgery is 40 days out. I will be having RNY done be Dr. Schram in Ypsilanti, Michigan. I am starting to have questions come into my mind about weather I'm doing the right thing. My BMI is around 53. I know that I can not go on the way I have been going, my knees can't tolerate the weight any more. I need surgery on both of them to replace them as they are completely worn out. BUT I have to lose a lot of weight before they consider surgery. Thanks for letting me ramble. Sharon
