Hi George,
First of all, I'm glad you're feeling better. I guess you're body needed a good rest which landed you in the hospital. Second, regarding all of the "drama", you didn't cause it. I believe that this website is like a buffet (I think we can all relate to this). If we go to a buffet we may only eat about 5 items (some protein and veggies) even if they have 100 items displayed. We make the choices of what we consume. It is the same here....we don't need to read everything.
For those of us over 50, our needs are more unique than younger folks. I joined this forum prior to my WLS when I couldn't walk because of severe arthritis in my hip. All I wanted was to get out of the pain and regain my life. I've had 3 surgeries in the last 15 months (WLS, hip replacement, and upper body lift) with the lower body lift scheduled for March. I've been through hell and back and only occasionally post here. When I come to OFF I come because it was recommended to me to use all of my tools. I lost 115 pounds (under my goal weight) in 8 months. OFF is only one tool I use, mostly for inspiration. If I have a question I know that there is someone else out there than can help answer my question or help me through a problem. I try to keep my posts on target with my WLS and overall health of regaining my life. I typically don't read many of your posts since my concentration is on overall good health and not necessarily reading bible versus or discussing my grandkids....but hey, that's me. I come to this forum just like I take my vitamins or drink my water or ride my bike in the morning. They told me what works in my pre-op classes and I listened carefully and try to incorporate all of these items into my daily life. And just like going to that buffet table that I mentioned earlier, I choose what to consume. I take what I need and pass on the rest. I don't become upset when I go with my busband to a buffet and ask, "Why do they serve all of those desserts?" There is good stuff here for all of us, whatever we believe in.
Feel better soon. Kathie
P.S. The reason I don't display my photo is that to me, my boogie board represents my ability to get my life back. After not being able to walk for 3 years, I dreamt of hiking, playing with my grandkids on the floor, and you gueesed it....boogie boarding again!

You did not start anything. Do not let what someone else's opinion is affect you in any way. It is just her opinion.
Some people can't stand when other people are happy. I would say she is unhappy.
But anyhow, keep up the Bible verses. I really should read my Bible more and it has encouraged me seeing other people interested in the Bible.
Your health is the most important thing. So, you just get better as soon as possible.
Take care and my prayers are with you,
Mickey
