Empty protein containers

 A gallon Pace Picante container will hold $800 in dollar coins. I put 10 in every payday just for trips After a while I use the silly thing for arm exercises too, Really !!

I use one of mine for a trip jar. what ever trip I'm saving for.  right now its a Kansas jar for a trip to see my niece married in May.    Its surprising how many ways I can come up with a $ or 2 or some change and it adds up over time.
Also  if anyone camps  they are great for many things on a camp trip especially if tent camping    cereal or crackers don't  get   soggy  that kind of thing.

I buy the generic cereal for my grands and empty them from the sack into the canisters.  I like the saving fund idea and will start one for my california trip.

When I'm saving the top of the jar has to be too small for my hand or fingers to get into! I need the kind that you have to cut open when full. Otherwise I "glean" now and then and it never gets full.

That reminds me of my piggy bank when I was a kid.  I would fill it up with cokebottle money or money I made picking berries.  I was hellbent on not breaking my bank but one day I heard this sound and found my older brother with a knife running it in the slot and sliding my dimes and nickles out.  I was so mad. No wonder it never got filled.

Yep, I was good at that too. Kind of like picking scabs. If it's there and I can get to it I can be a persistent little bugger!

I am pretty good at leaving it alone.  I like to travel and that is the only way I manage to save for it!     We do need to hit it once in a while   and the rule is 1/2 again has to go back in !       Lately  Ive been budgeting  a larger amount for gas for hubby for work as he drives a distance  since gas went back down some that 20 extra also goes in !!     it all helps. 

These are all great ideas!  Now I know what to start using the ones I am accumulating.
