What's new Wednesday?
Good Almost Wednesday Everyone,
I typed a post and it's out there in cyberspace somewhere. Wow, is it ever windy here. We get straight, very high mph winds sometimes and this is one of them. We knew it was windy up here on the hill but had no idea it could get this bad. We had a lot of snow, followed by Chinook winds which melted it all quickly. The ground was saturated and. . . .we lost at least 3 sections of our new fence a couple of hours ago. It looks like the wind just pulled up the metal posts imbeded in CONCRETE taking along with the posts some of our fence.
There's a construction outhouse which was down the street now in the back of the vacant lot next door. In about 1991 we had 90 mph winds which were very destructive. I'm sure come daylight, much more damage will be visible. We have underground power lines up here on the hill which is a good thing. I've been trying to sleep in the spare bedroom it's so noisy on the west side of the house where the wind comes from.
Took Maggie out to do her business on a leash. I was afraid at 5 lbs she might blow away. Do not want a "TOTO" flying away in the moonlight. I'm going to try to get a bit more sleep.
I posted about something on line called a "GMaps Pedometer." Check it out. It's a fun way to figure out distances for walks or runs and it's free. Take care,
Karen C
You really are having some weather!
We have rain that has been going about 12 hours but no ice or snow or wind. We have had a few windy days, but not 90 mph!
I am up at 3AM. Between the cat biting my toe through the cover and my husband reading in bed I had to get out.
I am going down to make some SF hot chocolate and read a bit myself.

Karen, you better keep your little Toto on a leash....what a mental picture! Our weather here has been very cold and rainy with ice forming on the trees, but not onto the streets, thankfully. It's just beautiful to see, nothing like this ever happens in sunny San Diego. It certainly is a hassle to get to work, but at least you have something pretty to look at while driving at 10 miles an hour.
I guess I'm a little nervous about posting, afraid I might say something that might offend someone out there. So, I'll just say I'm doing fine, and leave it at that.
Annette, hope you can get you Tom to listen to you. These men can be tricky ones. Carla, glad you're getting a plan for treatment. Knowing what is going to happen usually lessens the stress a bit.
George, hope you get better soon. I worry about you.
Ok, that's enough from me. Everyone have a good day.

Getting him to take the BP meds will be the hardest part. I may have to resort to using the cat's pill dispenser and stroke his throat to get them down.
Kisses

We will keep a low profile today. Emma, 7, reminded us that in 11 days we will be having breakfast in the Magic Kingdom. Her bag is almost all packed. Such fun.
Glad to hear from George...hope they get his heart regulated quickly.
Stay dry and be well all.
