Hi,

Congratulations on the WOWs!  Good for you.  Well deserved.

I've been wondering if we were going to hear about you taking London by storm.  I love London and have been there several times.  As far as the food is concerned.... it's a great place to lose weight!  LOL  One trip, we asked the concierge at our hotel to recommend a place for traditional British food.  His response was, "Why would you want that?"  LOL  But we did and I remember eating Beef Wellington.  It's such a great city to walk....  Heck, hubby even found the Rolls Royce car dealership and got to sit in one!  They offered to ship to US but, alas, we said no.

Take care,

Kathi

Thanks Kathi!  My niece and I tried banger and mash.  Pretty good for plain old sausage and mashed taters!  I was not impressed with fish and chips. After living in New Orleans my entire life, I haven't found too many places that can do for seafood what we can down here.  We walked through Harrods, took the lift to the 2nd floor, used the ladies room, and walked out!  My niece saw an evening bag that would go with her winter formal.  It was only $35,000.00.  Yeah kid, we'll get you two.  LOL

Oh I wish you had gone down in the basement at Harrod's and seen the tribute to Princess Diana.  At least it was there when we were there.  The food in the basement that they sell is amazing, too!  They still have the Harrod's carts that home deliver to the wealthy as well.  I bought a teapot of the Harrod's cart.

Nobody cooks the way they do in New Orleans!  You're right about that.

Thanks!  WOWs don't come along too often this far out, so when I get one, I make the most of it!

Ohhhhh   how fun.......  I'm so glad to hear you had a good time....  Sounds like a wonderful trip.  I love to travel.  Eating the food of another country is always exciting to me.... I understand it is bland compared to many but to be able to experience the taste, smells and sites is truly an adventure.

Glad to read you lost the excess weight.. prolly water.

And to meet some old friends and see their reactions to your new lifestyle ....  wow....    Life can be so good.

Thanks Millie!  I know what ya mean.  I like to try authentic food.  My niece does too.  However, my sister sticks with what she knows.  She was in her glory - there was a McDonald's near the hotel, along with Kentucky Chicken - BLAH.  One evening she ordered grilled chicken breast with bacon, cheese, and bbq sauce.  How original!

I was so glad to see you posting.  I didn't know you were on a trip and had wondered where you were and how you were doing.

Great "wows"!!!

Welcome home!  I have never been outside of the US but dream about it someday.
