I am curious about your Holland America experience. I have not been on HAL in a few years but I am surprised that you were disappointed. I have been on HAL, Carnival, and Norweigian and Hal was the best we experienced, especially their private Island. I hope this hasn't changed and your experience was the exception and not the rule What particularly was not up to par?

Well this was our 8th cruise and first with HAL.
Loved the private island and the food was just as good as all the rest.
It was our cabin steward.... got on Friday and by Monday the bathroom floor was so sticky that I finally washed it myself with their facecloth, took the dirty cloth to the front desk and was told 'ow well' just put a note about it in my papers when we leave.
Also shampoo and cream weren't replenished although I asked each day, finally got another steward to give me one.
Curtain in room had stains and small cigarette burns in them. Just not what I expected at all.
Had no problems in main areas or in dining room.

I get what you call 'cement' feeling and if I continue even one more spoon I throw up a thick clear mucous like substance. It feels aweful but I guess as I said I am a slow learner...LOL
Sorry you are having problems with your pouchy.
