Wii Fit

Does anybody have a Wii Fit?  I know two people who got it for Christmas and said it is so fun and such a great workout. It's kind of expensive. $250 for the Wii console and then another $100 for the Wii Fit program. I'm saving my pennies so I can get one.

By the way, I called my doctor's office today to give them my work number because I was sure they would be calling me much sooner than my followup appt with the doctor on the 27th. I was sure they were going to tell me I was on the verge of another heart attack and I would have to go to the hospital. Typically negative reaction for me. But when I called she said they already read the results of yesterday's scan and there was actually a little improvment from the last one I had 2 years ago (I had a very small artery that was clogged at that time).  It's been 15 years since my cardiac bypass surgery so I figured they would be plugging up by now.  I'll probably get run over by a truck before I have another heart attack and all that worrying will be for nothing.  Ha!

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support.

Ain't that the truth Millie.  I would have to have 9 lives like a cat in order to die of all the things I worried about over the years.  I'm such a dork sometimes.. No wonder I have to take pills.

The Wii fit is great!   My daughter bought me the Wii for Christmas.     It does give you a work out.    I had my knee a little achy but it was my fault for doing an hour on the wii and the doing an hour on the treadmill.    So I backed off and haven't been doing so much so close together and it's better now.

Good job on the heart!

Thanks.  I'm thinking my new eating habits may have something to do with it.  Very little fast food and not much greasy stuff or meat either.   I eat lots of low fat/low sugar granola bars, oatmeal, salads, soup, protein shakes, etc.  I eat too many sweets though. It's the reason I'm not losing any more weight.  Must get a handle on that.

I would love to have one of those little Wii contraptions.  I have to concentrate on saving for one.  I think it would be great.

I was excited to see that Jillian, one of the trainers from the Biggest Loser has a Wii work out. I bet that is fun, but a real workout. I have never done a Wii, I think they would be great, but too rich for my blood..

I got one for Christmas and it is a lot of fun. It does give you a work out. I am a bit lazy and haven't even tried all the exercises. They have yoga, strenght training. balance(which I am terrible at) and aerobics. Some of the stuff is hard on my knee replacements but it does get me moving and it keeps track of your work and progress. It weighs you too and it keeps telling me I am obese. I like it even if it does sigh everytime I stand on the board. Even the sports game that comes with the unit gets you moving so I would  say yes get one.

Thanks Susie, I have seen how it works and it's pretty cute. But I didn't know it called you names! Ha!
